Gems in toasters, dropped by tanks.

    If I'm not wrong, 3 gem toasters drop after each finale tank on COOP.
    We've already had some problems with people preferring toasters over helping team mates, and this isn't really helping at all... Even more people are jumping onto the tank's deathbed to get the gems, and half of them die in the process, which is awesome too, but that's my personal satisfaction...

    I don't think the gems in a toaster is a good idea. Perhaps reward each player with 1 gem, or make a random algorithm to select a few lucky players to get gems... anything but in toasters

    I dont think its actually supposed to be like that, not sure if its been fixed yet but yesterday the tanks were spawning legendary toasters upon death aswel....i spoke to honor last night and he said its definitely not supposed to be like that lol so hopefully that will be fixed soon

    Legendary toast in final tank in coop is good but 5/10% of drop this

    I believe the toasters should EXPLODE more outward, and spread out better. Green toasters with the blue flame should also make the extra toasters it makes be more spread out.

    I got same opion even though im not really playing on Coop anylonger, but it wouldnt help the problem that people want the toaster over teammates

    Maybe even remove /tankhp so people cant see when he die,

    why u dont change it that eveyone who is alive after kill tank get 1 gem? so its no rushing to get toaster and let other die.

    !tankhp was there only for debug purposes, it should be removed anyway :)

    he plans on this: we will have a % of change to get a gem (everyone gets one) according to the % of surivors alive when of the tank's death.
    that means, if 70% of the pplayers are alive, we will have 70% of chance to get a gem.

    sounds very good for me

    Well, IMO the best way and the fairest way would be to give the players that did the most
    damage to the Tank the Gems, like 3 for the player that does the most damage, 2 for the second
    and 1 for the 3rd player that did the least damage out of the top 3.

    Personally I would hate to do all the work on killing the Tank only for some one else to get the
    Gems/Toaster regardless of how its distributed.

    How about a combination of the last two ideas. 5% chance per living survivor (ie max 80%) encourages teamwork - I can imagine the heartwarming scenes of people running around defibbing teamates moments before the tank dies. Then, if the team is awarded gems, the top 3 damage dealers get 3, 2, 1 extra gems, everyone else get 1.

    I'm not sure if that sounds too OP, if so, maybe just one extra gem for the #1 damage dealer.

    Why not reward those who help in-capped or defib teammates too. Raise around 0.25% or 0.5% chance of gem when you assist. If everyone is bent on being top damage dealer to tank for that extra gem, they aren't exactly helping teammates. And those helping team mates clearly wont be able to deal the most damage easily.


    Maybe a clear minimum damage dealt cap to tank should be placed. "At least ~10k damage to tank or no gem drop for the player." Clearly if he didnt do at least "10k" (or whatever that cap is), he is just leeching for gem.


    I just think it'll be fair at least to reward people to try and take out the tank and not neglect his team while ruling out the leechers who think they can just get a free ride to a free gem.

    Very constructive post...
    Lower percentage rates to get the gems.
    Raise the drop rate of a gem each time a player defibs/helps up a downed team mate
    Minimum damage dealt to the tank, perhaps even a modifier to raise the drop rate, say every 1k gives +1%.

    I like the part of not rewarding "leechers". Everytime we fight a tank, I always feel like I'm one of the guys doing the most damage without molotov, since I'm always shooting with a sniper rifle (highest DPS on the tank besides the m60, I believe) and others just go running around, and I just don't see why those people should be rewarded as much as the ones who contributed the most to tank slaying/team helping. This actually makes people work for the gems, not just lounge about waiting for the tank to die and get the reward.
