Game is now freezing up

    the past week mgftw servers have been causing my game to freeze resulting in me having to either close the game manualy or restart computer in some cases, what does happen 100% of the time is when starting a new campain 1st map within the first 5sec game freezes, my opinion as to the cause is most likely the new modded music thats been put in, when i join a game already in motion, im ok, but when starting a campain or new level im freezing up and have to restart, im at the point of saying goodbye to mgftw, its been a good run and have had lots of fun, but its pointless to continue spending money to be a donor or to buy store items when the game is playing up like this, and on another note, im quite frankly getting sick of the players constantly telling me about there killing a shaman, or supreme shaman, or knight tank, they know very well that i never get the chance to fight them, the server is always full, there only spawned by admins, when the admin is on that particular server, its full always, ive sat for 45min+ on the autojoin waiting list and can never get in, yet sit there watching as 10-20 others manage to get in, so idk wtf is going on, is it all friend invites getting in first? and whats even more frustrating is that im a donor, i help support mgftw with cash, yet i dont have any ping immunity or priority over the none donors, so heres my delema, you got none donors hogging up the servers while the admins are on there spawning all the fun while REAL donors are being sat on the sidelines, and since im from australia my ping is usually up there to the point i get ping warnings, so when a shaman or etc is spawned i opnly last so long due to the ping increase it causes, so do feel free to comment mgftw admins and moderators, its your response id like to hear, not the other players who are hell bent on teasing me of there wonderfull rewards and wins over the shaman/knight/supreme tanks

    Hello Nort,

    I'm really sorry about the problems you are having at the moment, but i can ensure you that it cannot be our fault, atleast not directly.

    When we play custom music we use the Left 4 dead 2 web browser (known as motd) and we are extremely careful so we don't end up crashing everyone's game. This cannot be the source of your freezing.

    Now, you are the only one who have reported this kind of issues so that makes me think that is indeed a problem with your game or with your computer in general.

    I'd be glad if you could provide us some more information about your system, such as operating system, your graphics card, your RAM memory, your processor and your screen resolution. With this we will be able to solve your problem as soon as we can, even if we are not the source of it.

    A few recomendations i would give are:

    -Start the game under "Window Mode"
    -Check if your game files are up to date and are not corrupted or damaged
    -Check if your computer temperature isn't too high, it never hurts to check

    I dont know if its the servers today, or my new 64 bit but wen i join the servers it takes forever to join now. Used to take me 7 secs. Also my charger doesnt work in PR its slow and doesnt go invisible

    Actually atreyu, when i had Windows XP x32, the game used to load in 30 seconds or less on mg servers, but since I installed windows 7 x64 it actually takes more time (a lot imo). I think that it is something normal on this OS.

    awww man if i would have known that i would have never upgraded. Maybe i need to buy more ram

    I cant help Nort, just to say, im on WIN 7 64bit too and takes Ages to load a Game.....sometimes up to 45 sec....depends on the Servers Location.

    After checking download history, it was around the same time that mgftw switched server providers that i had updated my graphics card driver from the NVIDIA website, so i reinstalled the graphics card driver from the disk that came with the graphics card and now i have no problem, weird huh? i didnt think more updated drivers would cause a problem, rather the origonal driver for the GC works better, NIVIDA are noobs lol. anyway, can delete this thread now,
