Game DC'ing again

Game DC'ing again - i've notice the video ads are back and my l4d2 is DC all the time now .. maybe i'm the only XP user left here! lol
sorry can't upgrade cause i got tons of software not work on other OS sux

I'm still on XP too, BTW - I can't confirm your problem though because I'm away from home at the moment.

Can you email them back and have them block the ads on windows 7 too lol. I feel they are driving me to a point where I might break my speakers. And now you can't even mute the volume or turn it down unless you are faster then the speed of light and know where to click before the option vanishes. And why does it have to be video ads? I'd rather click through 50 picture ads then have a video forced upon me. -sigh- I really don't want to uninstall my flash players and stuff to avoid the video ads but i'm at a breaking point, sorry. I know I'm not the only one who feels this way, but I'm probably the only one who will say something.

 

I had this problem on XP with 2GB 1333MHz RAM, then I installed Win 7 64-bit and put a 4GB 2133MHz stick of RAM in it and it never freezes/crashes now.

 

Win 7 x64 here, no crashes,, just random techno. I always blame Vulcan.

 

I just priced Win 7 64 bit..and could get it for about 200.00, and would love to have it..But I just can,t justisfy spending that much just to be able to play on MG servers. I,ve already spent close to 400.00 at the MG store on upgrades over the past year.Hopefuly someone will come up with a fix for XP pro users.

 

Is anyone else having the problem where video ads won't close? When I press ok it goes away then plays again. @_@

 

Tell the sponsor to play a better song , thats enough .

 

I've never heard a song or seen an when I have joined the game. I always just have a black screen instead of the ad.

I would gladly trade you in a heartbeat. And yes Ami, mine does that all the time. That's what i'm talking about, you can't get rid of it at all any more cause the sponsors took away the mute button unless you're speedy, like crazy fast. I think they're on to me. You close it and the audio still blasts.

 

What I do is I click on the video, so it goes to the steelseries page and shows me a mouse.
Most of the times it stops there, but sometimes it also continues to play...

will try the game asap.. and yes it works great on win7 but my win7 system is used for sometime more sinister (ok ok it's only on a 17' lcd instead of my much bigger XP monitor and too lazy to move them around)so it's hard to play game on that one, and on my XP well i still have software that only runs on XP like Dreamweaver 8 (yup old software! lazy to install to new one so stuck at XP lol)

ops I think some maps still have the ADS, was about to show ads and boom - crashed me to desktop..restart and same thing ;-(
