EU Server down till sunday morning

    Hey guys,

    quick update about the EU servers.
    Seems they are stuck on 100% load atm. also i'm not quite sure if there is a new update out or not. but i'm not able to restart the servers :( as i cant connect to them.

    Marvel will restart the servers first thing in the morning.

    I wonder if it was caused by the leap second lol?

    It seems to cause some havoc in debian and ubuntu servers..

    As some important programs/plugins/extension may require that a day can: 86 399, 86 400 or 86 401 seconds..

    Yes I think it was caused by that. Our servers sync time with ntp. Webserver runs kernel 3.4.4 which has that bug fixed but gameservers are still on 2.6.35.1 :)

    Lol, a leap second can cause mass havoc? That's sort of funny. I know the CPU depends on the bios time, but a simple leap second in the real world can screw up linux machines... and no one has fixed it? xD

    It's fixed in the 3.4+ kernels but those are just new and most linux distros ship with older versions :)

    But I agree, I figured we were done with this after the millennium bug but I guess not ;)
