Enable mapvote on every server?

    We have campaign voting running now on every #2 coop server (Which means on the final map of the campaign you can vote for the next campaign).

    Would you like to see it enabled on the other servers?

    I would say "every server," but there's a huge issue lately with everyone bullying the other gamers (COOP) to only play finales a certain way.

    They think that if they can't beat it on the first try, that entitles them to structure the game and/or strucurally farm.

    Ex.) Port finale, 2 generators going, tank appears, start 3rd, knight appears. So, they get killed and tell them "don't start the third generator."

    I get complaints about it daily... if we could avoid this problem, you have my vote for "every server." Otherwise, I think they'll just try to cycle the generator finale w/ votes.

    Just curious but what happens if there are no votes? Will the map just continue its standard rotation?

    Also I voted for all servers but I also agree with what erik is saying here, but them again if there was a donor in the game the problem you saying could already happen I think?

    Some how i don't think players will vote the same map after they just played it.

    What you could do is put it on all several and see how coop handles it, then if there are people miss using it then simply remove it again and go back the rotation option :)

    just change the mapvote such that if you just played say dark carnival, you have to play another 3 different maps before you can pick dc again

    and honestly knowing theres a no farming rule on maps with "time restrictions" especially sacrifice i wouldnt be bothered to vote for such maps anyway anymore. if people insist or things go back to rotation i would just stop playing when this map comes on and move to other servers, since theres no way u can beat anything thats a drainer or higher in 5 minutes.

    In any case, since people just spams "1" there should be option "No vote / Standard rotation" as option 1.

    Is there anyway you can have a 'click to vote' system at the end of the map instead of typing !mapvote? Reason being, as I and alot of others use / for commands instead of ! the mapvote command isn't as obvious as I feel it should be.

    after using this a lot now on the server i wish i had picked differently, im not quite sure i like the concept and prefer the old rotation system there was, also this takes a way on advantage of being donor as everyone can now vote for the map.

    The "mapvote" we're talking about and campaign change vote are very different from each others..

    "mapvote" is only triggered at the end of the current campaign, while any donator can call for instant vote from ESC menu whenever they want.

    Basically as a donator, you could call another vote from "ESC" menu right after the loading and have majority while others are still loading.. But anyone who does such things would likely be hated by most of the playerbase lol. Usually this donator feature is used when everyone agrees that the current campaign is boring and asks donor to switch it, or if the server happens to bug out for some reason (which is rare).

    Yeah, donor map votes are generally a privilege reserved for occasions which benefit all players on the server. They're not really a donor advantage, just another way of helping. Still like having the ability to do them though.

    As far as I know you can't start a vote while other players are loading, you have to wait to start the vote. I tried that once and got that message. I voted just for coop, but I think this vote will be overruled by donor votemap most of the time. In versus I like to play almost all campaigns, so I prefer standard rotation and eventually vote if it is necessary (most likely to skip Cold Stream).
