Donors Recognition on the Asia Servers

    I usually play on the US L4D2 Vicious server without a problem. Recently, I have started to play on the Asia L4D2 Vicious server. However, my status as an donor isn't recognized. Do the perks one has as a donor only apply to the US and EU servers?
    Also, I live in Asia, yet my is too high for Asia Server. I do not have any issues with the US server. Does anyone have any suggestions?

    Look at this map, it states that your internet goes through USA and then through Europe to get into ASIA.. so basically you live more nearer USA main internet router, than ASIA main internet router..

    Thanks for the info. I really appreciate it. I assume I can't really play on these servers within my own time zone.
    Maybe, I should move back to the States.

    lol, only for gaming? and btw, try this out..

    open cmd..

    type in:

    tracert 111.92.237.108

    and post the text or screenshot here.

    this is the ip of the ASIA server, so you will see live ping from here too.

    Forget about that ASIA server, it's unstable, laggy and not worth playing on :) It will be removed anyway after the contract ends, which is in about a month :)

    Hm, not sure if this is the right topic to address this, but since we have plenty of Asians playing on MG as well, I do think there is a need for a server located in Asia. Perhaps the next time there's one, you'll be able to find a more reliable provider?

    I primarily play on the US servers, but it is nice to have alternatives when those servers are empty.Last night I played on EU servers and I didn't have any issues. I won't bother Asia servers anymore. But I'll still post my info later.

    BTW, I am not Asian. Sorry,fellas.

    Yeah it's not worth to keep it running, look at gametracker first page, China dominates the top listings on L4D2 (under us though of course ;))

    Ah, you're right. A majority of L4D2 users may play from China, but for us, most of the traffic comes from U.S., Russia and Germany as you already know :) By the way, the automated PuTTY script won't work because the software executes them without waiting for the original to finish. I want to make my own automatic server updating software so no one can possibly mess up. See your pm? :)
