Donor Stuff, Idle Block and Arbitrarily Getting Stuck

I know that others share this problem: to receive one's donor items, one has to wait until the data is loaded. Once it's loaded, the only way I know of to receive the donor items is to go Idle then rejoin.

However, every other time this method is attempted, it is impossible to rejoin. You are stuck in spectate mode, seeing the message that the team is full (though it isn't), and when cycling through views while spec'ing, you can watch from some special infecteds' viewpoints as if they were part of your team. You have to wait until the team completes the map, but even then you're not guaranteed a slot on the next one as you can still find yourself stuck in that spec limbo, unable to join.

You have to disconnect from the server, reconnect, and wait for the next map (or hope someone opens a spawn door).

(On a side note, when this method of going idle and rejoining to get your donor items *does* work, you'll not only receive your items, but also drop the same melee weapon and grenade as if you had these items already, though they were not visible or accessible. This obviously isn't a problem, but wanted to mention this behaviour.)

Also, about 4 times recently I've gotten stuck in the middle of some open space. This has occurred after being knocked off a smoker or getting helped up from being incapped. Going Idle does nothing even when the team moves far enough away that your toon should teleport. You have to wait to be killed just so everyone can progress.

Others have experienced these issues and I'm sure you're aware of them, but couldn't stop myself from adding my voice to the noise.
