Custom Campaigns: Need more ppl to download them!

They're basically impossible to beat with bots.... and it seems as if only a small handful of people are playing them.

And are they ever going to be used as Versus? Because the Industrial (?) one with the boat in the beginning will cause issues as the boat sinks... not allowing people time to load, etc, unless then can breath underwater of course...

 

I gotta agree with Tyler on this one the bots are a real burden on these maps. The campaign with the sinking boat at the start is just a real pain in the backside. Also the smokers smoke that is left when it is killed is a real pain in the caged section of the map. I had a weird glitch on that map where at the start I wouldn't start on the boat I'd be floating in the sky above where the esculator finishes and i would just drop and die instantly. Annoying but amusing.

 

In addition to this, there seems to be the odd map in each campaign where you can't crawl when incapacitated... another pain in the butt is that there isn't enough weapons... they're built for 4(?) people it seems.

 

I have to agree with you again my good sir some good points. It feels so weird not being able to crawl :S Also the lack of medi-kits at the start of that map is rather annoying. Also near the start of that map is medicine cabient but it is only full of magnums >> Fun fact: If a toaster falls in the water near the boat that sinks they bounce up & down

 

I may have jumped over board to get that toaster once... haha! I was expecting to be able to swim though...

 

Yeah i don't get that. Bill makes all the L4D survivors go live on an island because zombies can't swim. Well Bill from playing the other day i stepped in some water on a river bank. The water was below knee height and i died. Good luck at sea survivors. That could be a new buff or skill. Water wings. Survivors don't die when they step in a puddle.

ppl dont play custom campaign bec they r too lazy to DL them.I think they should start an event of these maps for 1 or 2 day so that ppl start DL maps them then they start playing there eventually.

Your English isn't that bad! Easy to understand - I know some people who are English and they're harder to understand, haha. The idea around the event isn't a bad idea though...

Is MG able to modify the custom campaigns at all to make them more... MG friendly?

 

We can't modify the maps without contacting the guy who made them. I think the event idea is good. Make it an event and people will download for sure and maybe then they will play more often. I think that is the way forward for this server.

 

Are these custom campaigns still available? Haven't seen them since yesterday or the day before... it was nice playing something different for a change (compared to the same 2 campaigns.... over and over and over...)

 

all am going to say is that i wont be downloading them because it is a Points Server, i have no interest in leveling up, anyway if it was on Mix Modes, VI or Berserker i would probally download them and play on the server.

 

The custom maps should be available during events, IMHO...

I mean, let's say it's an event server.
It can be used every weekend for events, super headshot PR COOP on sunday, VS on saturday, on custom maps, and idk what else.
During the week it could be a normal server I guess
