    Cry of Fear is a psychological single-player and co-op horror game set in a deserted town filled with horrific creatures and nightmarish delusions.

    You play as a young man desperately searching for answers in the cold Scandinavian night, finding his way through the city as he slowly descends into madness. With a strong emphasis on cinematic experience, immersion and lateral thinking, players will be taken on a nightmare rollercoaster-ride through the grim streets of Fäversholm and beyond. Not everything is as it seems...


    Cry of Fear originally started out as a Half-Life 1 modification, set in the same vein as the classic survival horror games of old. 4 years in the making and picking up several modding awards on the way, it is now a free, standalone game for anyone to enjoy. Beware though, it's not for the faint of heart.

    System Requirements

    After i personally tested this out, it looks truely amazing with full audio support for multiple languages.. Re-playable and maybe even mod-able? Potential for becoming the next big thing.

    pros

    - Nice storyline and setting..
    - Open gameworld
    - Multiple approaches
    - HL1 mod which turned out into standalone and comes with CS:S -like graphics..

    cons
    - Old-like graphics for some..

    Conclusion
    - For a free game this is hell of a package of action and fun :P

    Either way, i would suggest adding it into your games before/if it becomes a chargeable product, which will most likely happen if this gets into public.. xD

    i checked game last night,played a bit, scary game, its a l4d2 + silent hill in one but seams lit hard play it alone, i think co-op is better, i sow is possible to open d.server,how many players on co-op idk

    Awesome game. Haven't played it but I've seen so many gameplay videos of it. Scared me shitless at some points :P

    Are there many coop servers yet? I couldn't get anything to show on the server list, so if there is a MG server anywhere we will have to connect via IP in the console.

    Not working for me and a friend. Kept reinstalling NET all over again each time, then kept getting the 'no executable' error. Found error message list and fixes, gonna try it again later :(

    no servers at all,it's a free game, i think you need open server from the menu, it's a option in menu, you can chose run from steam or local, idk max player limit, i tryd open with 10, but problem is how to people join to d.server,over friends list?idk.
    It will be nice if we could open one co-op test server.

    i got similar problem when was installing first time,try reinstall and leave steam download and install windows files automatic it take some time for my pc to install, check firewall and windows update.

    I almost shit my pants at the beginning of the game, when you had to take some photos... After taking the last photo i though my game was bugged or something, cuz i been standing in the pitch black. And than *BANG*. After that i am too scared to play that game again. :(

    There's this part in the first chapter in the apartment some dude jump scares you from under the bed, little kids with knives & forks, a little girl that cries so freakishly sad & a tall woman with her unborn child in the womb trying to kill you. I couldn't go past the first chapter. The boss fight with chainsaw dude is tough
