Crashes To Desktop Problem everytime Finish The campign

Everytime the 'final cutscene' of the campaign(Final map) appear, i got CTD without error,,,

so this is so annoying, i play mostly on Point Reloaded server, i got nothing EXP cause of this,,,,

anyone experience this??
this occur with a new update of l4d2 (version 2080)

already search everything on google not found anything worth solutions,,

What server? Coop or versus? There are a couple of things you could try:

1. In console type: rate 20000
2. Lower your resolution
3. Verify integrity of your game files
4. Go ingame and play the final map in singleplayer and see what happens. If the game does not crash when in single player then it must be due to your internet not being able to cope with the syncing of the cut scene.

 

steam or nonsteam gamefiles? If nonsteam, always rightclick on patches and run as administrator. I find it best to run the patches on the same drive that the game is installed on,, as an example, dont patch off a usb drive. If your nonsteam, first thing I'd try is reinstalling the patches.

 

OMGGG lol i got this to eversince that damn new update. I thought it was just me but i guess alot of ppl are getting it now to. I'm on regular steam btw

 

What happens when you do Legends #4?

 

of course im already do what u all saying,,dont work,,
point number 4, try single player parish & no mercy final 'till the escape cutscene no problem occur,,
for me error occur only plays on 'coop' multiplayer
btw is not related to connection i think,
this problem since the new update 2080,,
i play on PR server already lvl. 90+,,never get this error before,

dont work at all, according to forum steam theres plenty thread, tells have exactly same problem with me,,

im steam legit

 

already do the restore backup fix,,

delete the game,,restore my backup from version 2073 (good condition),,
redownload the update till last version 2080,,
play the game,, still get the same error CTD on escape cutscene,,

my RIG & OS (wins 7) is near perfectly fine, im play all other games with no errorness,

 

Final question: Do you have any addons?

 

*scratches head* Anything recent in Windows Action center (The little flag icon near the clock) that might help lead us in the right direction?
Should he try a compatibility mode or disabling visual themes in L4D2 shortcut or exe properties?
Think replacing the actual vids themselves would help (could they have gone "bad" somehow)? On a fresh instal I always have to copy a "Park" map from different instal cause of file missmatch. I'm leaning away from this one because its ALL of the ending cutscenes which is odd... Makes me think graffix related but I just dont know for sure. Never had your issue before.
What would happen if he reinstalled the patches manually on his lagit game from nonsteam patch?

As legend mentioned, a list of your addons could help too ,, sometimes things dont work with other things and weird shit happens LOL

 

i did some research since i have the same problem, it persists to the new update itself as many never had this before the update. I guess we will just have to wait for a new patch because as mentioned above it doesnt work

 

good news, theres new update 2081,,

the crash problem now 100% fixed
