Browser music LAGS

Hi, recently I played on the EU PR VS server and I noticed they had music in the web browser in game. You know, the one that pops up when a Campaign starts.

Problem is, connecting already is troublesome for some and since I'm playing on two computers, one laptop that a little outdated and one iMac, it lags ridiculously a lot for me.

I can't turn the music off, I just have to let it play out. I've tried hitting the PAUSE button, I've tried closing the window but every time, it just restarts. So when I attempt to close it, it restarts and causes even MORE lag for me.

I mean, you can say: "Just let it play out, the music isn't bad," but it's really SUPER loud! My in-game settings are so that the SFX sounds are low, BGM is low and Mic is high so I'd hear the microphone more clearly. That means that my settings on my computer has the volume turned all the way up. So I'm thinking the Browser surpasses the in-game settings and uses the computer settings so that's why it's so loud. But still, it's disturbing.

So admins, PLEASE GET RID OF THAT MUSIC!

It's not just pointless music, it's an advert (I'm guessing that's what you're reffering to). Since they help to pay some of the server costs I doubt they'll be removed.

In terms of the volume, I appreciate that if you turn the game volume down and speakers up it is very loud but since the adverts come from an external source (I'm assuming they come from a service like adsense) I doubt anything can be done. All I can advise is turn your speakers down while it plays.

This is mostly guesswork though, so anyone feel free to correct me.

 

The ad is played in a video player which has a volume bar. Next time you hear the music, press H and lower the volume (or mute it), or just press ENTER/OK to close the advert.

Also, what's wrong with the song? I personally like it.

 

As I said, I can't turn it off or pause it without it restarting itself or keeps on playing when I close the window. And while it is playing my whole game is lagging terribly. So trying to pause it or turn down the volume is hard enough. So I have no choice but to let it play out. Also, most of the time, the beginning of the game is crucial. It's the point where all special infected spawn together at once, right? So I can end up dead from the start if I try too many manoeuvres.
But if no one can take it off, then so be it. I think it is gone anyway.
