Anyone has McAfee antivirus? xD

    lol all you need to do is go into services.msc and disable all the corresponding services. uninstall it normally through add/remove programs, then use the MCPR.exe tool, which they were unclear about in the vid.

    i became familiar w/ the process because i have owned several dell and toshiba laptops, which are usually full of mcafee bloatware.

    i LOVE the video/joke, just wanted to point out that the uninstallation of most anti-virus "suites" requires hard-to-find, but essential, utilities from the manufacturers. trend micro products are a perfect example of this, or SUPERAntiSpyware products.

    I thought this was a support thread for a moment. was preparing litany of reasons to not use McAfee before seeing video.

    On a serious note... I've not found any problems uninstalling an AV before. I've not tried uninstalling McAfee before.

    Which do you think will be the best paid AV you've ever had?

    I used to swear by Avira AntiVir but I just use Norton 2013 which came free from my ISP. I NEVER thought I'd say this, but I like it. It works wonderfully w/ Malwarebyte's Anti-Malware as an adjunct.

    PS - disabling mcafee services, uninstalling, and running mcpr only takes 5 minutes lol.

    A 30-day free trial came with my computer when I bought it, but I never had any problems uninstalling it... Haven't heard from it ever since.
