    Payday game seduced him and he wants nothing to do with L4D2.

    Resigned as root to become staff in a Payday 2 community. Cracking game to be fair, but it's a shame he wiped his contacts. Miss the bloke.

    He could have made a thread to say what was happening, was very abrupt and probably open to all sorts of rumors.

    Yup, will miss him. He has done a lot for this community.
    Hope he has fun in Payday 2. :dance:

    All anyone has to do is ask him, it's not a big secret.

    Anyway, I'm gonna miss him, he did a LOT for the community. I noticed a lot of my flist people switching servers since he left, and it's just not the same without him. I'm not going to go so far as saying that seeing the completely empty servers for hours on end are in any way linked to him leaving, but the timing is a huge coincidence lol.

    He was really all about the gamers. He put in a lot of his own money and effort into helping people out, in a way I haven't seen before. Not that the other admins were bad, he just really stood out, IMO.

    I've seen him buy vending machines for new ppl and spawn groups of newbies in off map areas so they could benefit from it without veterans hogging it.
    He's done events with rare tanks, and coached people with tactics, and encouraged low lvls who griped about not having a chance. He's always been the last person running from a horde, staying behind to help slower ppl, whether it's vs. or co op. He was fun to frustrate, and hearing him cuss and yell about how everyone targeted him in vs made my day :D

    He lived and breathed this community, not just for the game but for the ppl here, so I found it really hard to believe he'd up an go, just to play A DIFFERENT GAME. It didn't make sense. So yeah, I caught up with him, and reconnected, and I'm glad, because he was one of the nicest ppl I've played with, and one of the maybe three or four ppl that actually bothers to chat with me outside of the game. Seeing all the empty servers, and the selfishness of the newer members (teamkilling cause it's 'fun' I've been told is totally ok cause it's a game ) it's not the same. I like the mod, and the few friendly people I know that still play from time to time, so I'll keep playing, but the dead quiet in most of the games, and the lack of communication and laughter makes it a totally different setting, and I miss the way it used to be. I miss not just that but a lot of the older members who saw the writing on the wall and moved on.

    He got ddossed when he did anything L4D2 related and got negative discussions with some players. He may have lost the fun that way (which is quite understandable).

    He was not left alone with the ddos issues however, and was offered free VPN accesses, and a free physical firewall delivered to his home adress, which he refused to accept.

    He is a trusted person and had full access to everything (way more responsibility than i ever would be entrusted with :p) which also possibly led to him losing his interest in the game as it was all managing for him.

    It would've been nice if he made a public thread about it saying goodbye.
    Maybe he had his reasons to not do that but a lot of people here would've appreciated it for sure.

    But life continues. People come and people leave. Not everything is dependent in one person at this world.

    No one can replace another person but tasks can be re-assigned.

    Hope this clears things up.
