Ideas for how the Special Infected can adapt to their Class Roles in VS

  1. If anyone has got ideas for this section... POST BELOW... :D

I was with HonorCode in Versus since 2 days ago or so fourth and he told us some very interesting things to do with special infected classes and what not. BTW this is mute's ideas too as we got told that.

These are some of the classes HonorCode/Mute are thinking about for the special infected... (This was mentioned by HonorCode in the screenshots above)
    Snowballer: low damage, increases overtime
Slower: Moderate HP, Moderate Damage, Higher capabilities to slow down survivors
Assassin: High amount of Damage, Low HP
Tanky: High HP, Low utility, mostly to body block
    DPS: Constant Damage, Low-Moderate HP
    Debuffer: Applies poison, mutation, others

Without further ado. here are my ideas for how special infected can adapt to these class roles... (These stats are just estimates and not to be taken as those from actual stats)

Hunter: Possible Classes: Snowballer, Assassin, Debuffer
    Snowballer Class
+ Pounce damage done increases by +0.5 Additional Damage Per Second, up to a maximum of +32 (Add additional damage) over 64 seconds. This is reset if you pounce another survivor
    + 25% Decreased Damage Taken
    - Pounce damage done decreased by 50% (Before applying damage calculation)
    - 1% Increased Damage Taken per second while pouncing a survivor, up to a maximum of 25% Increased Damage Taken over 50 seconds. This is reset if you pounce another survivor.

With the Snowballer Class for the hunter it would make his pounce on survivors at first do low damage initially. However as time passes it will do increasing damage while at the same time making the hunter more vulnerable to being killed more quickly.

    Assassin Class
+ +1 Additional Pounce Damage Done for every survivor Incapacitation and +10 Additional Pounce Damage Done for each survivor Killed. This Damage bypasses all resistances.
+ 115% Increase in Impact Pounce Damage done to survivors pounced
+ 50% Increase in Attack Speed
    - 60% decreased Maximum HP
    - You cannot be invisible as a Hunter while with the Assassin Class

With the Assassin Class for the hunter it would encourage him to pounce more survivors by giving him additional pounce damage whenever he incapacitates or kills. He can also kill more quickly by increasing his impact pounce damage on pouncing a survivor + giving him higher attack speed on his pounces. He can be killed more quickly however thanks to a decrease in his maximum health and he is easily able to be seen thanks to full visibility.

    Debuffer Class
+ 2% Chance of Bad Status Effects being inflicted on survivors
+ Additional Bad Status Effects that can be inflicted onto survivors include: Blind, Internal Bleeding, Confusion, +Hunter's Headshot Death effect (forgot name of Bad Status effect)
+ 20% Increased Active Time of Bad Status Effects
    - 20% decreased Maximum HP
    - 15% decreased Damage Done
    - You are unable to use the Regeneration / Vampire skill as a Hunter while with the Debuffer Class

With the Debuffer Class for the hunter it would cause more status effects to be inflicted on survivors more often when he pounces/claws them. He also is able to inflict additional status effects through this. However this causes a reduction in his maximum health and damage done that does not make him as useful.

    Boomer: Slower, Tanky, DPS
    Slower Class
+ On Vomit Bile Hit: Survivor's Movement Speed Decreased by -1% of their maximum Movement Speed for every bile particle that hits them. This Movement Speed decrease lasts until the end of the vomit bile period.
    + 20% Increased Maximum HP
    + 50% Increased Claw Damage
    - 20% Decreased Attack Speed
    - 10% Decreased Movement Speed

With the Slower Class for the boomer it would cause his vomit bile to basically make the survivors shiver and feel cold. With an increase in his maximum health and damage it can make him higher priorty to take down over other special infected as his slow can slow down survivor progress by a decent amount. The boomer however has to act with time with the Slower Class as his decreased movement speed can make his plan fall all over the place.

    Tanky Class
    + 150% Increased Maximum HP
+ 70% Decreased Damage Taken while vomiting and for 1 second afterwards.
    - 25% Decreased Movement Speed
    - On Death: acid puddle cannot be spawned/Horde cannot be called.

With the Tanky Class for the boomer it would take a little while longer for the survivors bullets to kill the boomer, in the meantime however he can act as a blocking force by vomiting infront of the survivors in a passage/hallway, making the boomer able to take more bullets within him before he bursts. Because of his increased health though, his decreased movement speed means he really needs to be able to block the survivors path or he wont be of much use.

    DPS
+ Vomit Bile Deals 1 True Damage to survivors for every bile particle that hits them.
+/- Acid Puddle deals constant 2 damage per second instead of going from 0 to 5.
+ 25% Increased Vomit Bile Radius
+ 20% Increased Vomit Bile Lifetime
+ 10% Decreased Vomit Bile Cooldown
    - 10% Decreased Maximum HP
    - 20% Decreased Melee Damage Done
    - Common Infected cannot gain the Increased Damage from attacking bile afflicted survivors.

With the DPS Class for the boomer it can be said that the vomit bile is able to damage survivors when they get vomited on. Yet because the DPS Class wants to maintain constant damage, the Common Infected do not get to deal increased damage from attacking bile afflicted survivors and the acid puddle formed by the boomer will only deal 2 damage instead of going from 0 to 5.

    Smoker: Snowballer, Slower, Debuffer
    Snowballer Class
+ 10 Additional damage for each 10 seconds that pass while smoking a survivor.
    + 10% Decreased Damage Taken
    - 50% Decreased Smoke Damage (Before Applying Damage Calculation)
    - 5% Increased Damage Taken for each 5 seconds that pass while smoking a survivor. Maximum +25% Increased damage taken over 30 seconds.

With the Snowballer Class for the Smoker while his damage dealt would take some time to ramp up due to low damage dealt overall. He becomes a bigger threat to the survivors the more he stays alive.

    Slower Class
+ On Death: Decrease the Movement Speed of survivors in your smoke cloud by 5% per second, up to a maximum of 35%.
    +20% Increased Maximum HP
    +50% Increased Claw Damage
    - 20% Decreased Attack Speed
    - 15% Decreased Movement Speed

With the Slower Class for the Smoker, He would be able to deal quite a bit of damage to the survivors, being a slow special infected as all. Even then with more survivablity, his real threat to the survivors is his slow that can cause quite a bit of trouble for the team. It is a reason why the survivors are expected to stay away from the smoker cloud.

    Debuffer Class
+ On Death: 1% Increased Chance per second to inflict the Poison Bad Status Effect on survivors while they are nearby your Smoke Cloud
+ You are able to inflict the following Bad Status Effects on survivors: Blind, Confusion
+ 20% Increased Active Time of Bad Status Effects
    - 25% Decreased Maximum HP
    - 20% Decreased Damage Done
    - You are unable to use the Regeneration / Vampire skill as a Smoker while with the Debuffer Class

With the Debuffer Class for the Smoker, he can smoke the survivors allowing for more effects to be dealt to the survivor as well as doubling the chance that the survivors get inflicted with these bad status effects while in the smoke. The survivors can stop that from happening by being able to kill him off quickly as he is less of a harassment, due to low damage and low survivability.

    Charger: Assassin, Tanky, Debuffer
    Assassin Class
+ 150% Increase in first pound damage
+ 25% Increase in overall pound damage (cannot stack with the first effect)
    + 20% Increased Attack Speed
    - 50% Decreased Maximum HP
    - 25% Slower Charge Speed

With the Assassin Class for the Charger, he can wreck the survivors to gloriness by proving how much of a threat he should be killed quickly, with his increase in damage and decrease in maximum health, this saying proves just that. He can also put in the bad status effect of internal bleeding to make things worse and has an increase in attack speed to make it stick before the survivor is saved. His speed however while it is still quick is considered to be slower than normal so the charger should at least show some strategy into planning his good attack.

    Tanky Class
    +25% Increased Maximum HP
    +33% Decreased Damage Taken
    - 15% Decreased Movement Speed
    - You are unable to use the Special Ability to charge survivors

With the Tanky Class for the Charger, he can be a meat shield that blocks the survivors path, with an increase in his survivability and his ability to take more hits. While he is a tough fighter, he cannot run at the survivors at a fast pace and cannot charge at them.

    Debuffer Class
+50% Decreased Cooldown of Stun Bad Status Effect to be applied again on same survivor.
+ 2% Increased Chance to inflict the following Bad Status Effects on survivors: Internal Bleeding, External Bleeding
+ 50% Increased Active Time of Bad Status Effects
    -20% Decreased Maximum HP
    -10% Decreased Damage Done
    - You are unable to use the Regeneration / Vampire skill as a Charger while with the Debuffer Class

With the Debuffer Class for the Charger, he is a powerhouse with his stun effect and should not be messed with. Sure he as a decrease in Maximum health because of his debuffing capabilities as well as his damage dealt being decreased. To make up for his death however, his charger revenge can make a comeback from the dead with his stuns on survivor hits.

    Spitter: Slower, DPS, Debuffer
    Slower Class
+ Acid Spit is able to slow survivors movement speed down by up to 50%, the Movement Speed decrease will stay at a maximum for 3 seconds before decaying away at 5% per second.
    + 50% Increased Maximum HP
    + 25% Increased Damage Done
    - 20% Decreased Attack Speed
    - 10% Decreased Movement Speed

With the Slower Class for the Spitter, she can slow survivors down more powerfully with the Acid Spit. With this the survivors are sure to stay away from it as the acid spit can also deal increased damage. The Spitter gets a boost in her survival as a result of being a strong slower special infected, but as a result has half the invulnerable time after spitting, making her more vulnerable to attacks from the survivors. She isn't able to get very far too as the survivors can catch up to her in time with her decreased movement speed.

    DPS Class
+/- Acid Spit always deals a constant 2 damage instead of going from 0 to 5
+ 50% Decreased Acid Spit Cooldown
+ 25% Increased Acid Spit Radius
+ 20% Increased Acid Spit Lifetime
    - 10% Decreased Maximum HP
    - 20% Decreased Damage Done

With the DPS Class for the Spitter, sure, the damage dealt by the acid spit may not all be too good, but to make sure the spitter can get in good attacks on the survivors her fire power gives her the chance to spit more often for longer and leave more acid puddles to meddle with the survivors. However the survivors have a window to get away as the spit speed is decreased as a counter to the spitters increased effectiveness with her spit.

    Debuffer Class
+ Acid Spit Inflicts a stacking Corrosion Bad Status Effect on survivors affected.
+ 10% Increased Chance to inflict an additional stack of Corrosion Bad Status Effect and 1% Increased Chance to inflict the Poison Bad Status Effect on survivors
+ 20% Increased Active Time of Bad Status Effects
    - 20% Decreased Maximum HP
    - 15% Decreased Damage Done
    - You are unable to use the Regeneration / Vampire skill as a Spitter while with the Debuffer Class

    Jockey: Snowballer, Assassin, Debuffer
    Snowballer Class
+ 1 Increased Additional Damage per second while riding a survivor, Up to a maximum of +30 Additional Damage over 30 seconds. This is reset if you ride another survivor
    + 10% Decreased Damage Taken
    - 50% Decreased Ride Damage Done
    - 1% Increased Damage Taken per second while riding a survivor, Up to a maximum of +20% Increased Damage Taken over 30 seconds. This is reset if you ride another survivor.

    Assassin Class
+ 100% Increased Ride Damage Done
+ 50% Increased Melee Damage Done
    + 30% Increased Attack Speed
    - 65% Decreased Maximum HP
    - You are unable to use the Jockey Jump skill while riding a survivor.

    Debuffer Class
+ On Hit: Inflict a stacking Mark of Permanent Death Bad Status Effect on survivor. Maximum 160 stacks.
+ 2% Increased Chance to inflict the following Bad Status Effects on survivors: Internal Bleeding, Confusion
+ 50% Increased Active Time of Bad Status Effects
    - 20% Decreased Maximum HP
    - 20% Decreased Damage Done
    - You are unable to use the Regeneration / Vampire skill as a Jockey while with the Debuffer Class

Tank: Snowballer, Slower, Assassin, Tanky, Debuffer

    Snowballer Class
+ 1 Increased Attack Damage per second that the tank is alive (Applied Before Damage Calculation). Up to a maximum of +102 Increased Attack Damage over 102 seconds. This is reset if the tank kills a survivor.
    + 25% Decreased Damage Taken
    -50% Decreased Attack Damage
    - 1% Increased Damage Taken per second while the tank is alive. Up to a maximum of +25% Increased Damage Taken over 50 seconds. This is reset if the tank kills a survivor.

    Slower Class
+On Hit: Decrease Survivors Movement Speed by 4%. Up to a maximum of 20% Decreased Movement Speed on the survivor hit. Decays by 1% per second after 3 seconds of not hitting the survivor.
    +25% Increased Maximum HP
    +25% Increased Attack Damage
    - 10% Decreased Movement Speed
    - 20% Decreased Attack Speed

    Assassin Class
    +150% Increased Attack Damage
    +30% Increased Attack Speed
    -50% Decreased Maximum HP
-No Resistances to damage from all sources.

    Tanky Class
    +60% Increased Maximum HP
    +50% Decreased Damage Taken
    -20% Decreased Movement Speed
-100% Longer wait time and cooldown time on throwing rocks.

    Debuffer Class
+On Hit: 1/5 Chance to inflict a random Bad Status Effect on survivors.
+ Doubled Chance to inflict the Mutation Bad Status Effect on survivors.
+ 50% Increased Active Time of Bad Status Effects
    -25% Decreased Damage Done
    -25% Decreased Maximum HP
    - 50% Decreased Regeneration rate of HP
