    This is a general guideline for the recommended buffs on any particular survivor buff set that suits your playstyle. Remember, the buff sets have their strengths and weaknesses and may / may not be suited to whatever buffs you want on any survivor VS buff set you come up with. These buff sets only apply to the Versus gamemode.

    The buff sets you will see here are:

    Offensive Assault VS <top>

    Benefits of this buff set <top>
    • Knife: Gives you 1 knife that can be used to release yourself from an SI attack once. Your knife can be used after 1 second of being pinned, by pressing ZOOM button.
    • Goggles: Obtain goggles that protect you from bile. Buff includes "Cheap Goggles" buff effect.
    • On Fire: 1% chance of setting any infected on fire on each gun shot.
    • Ninja: On special infected kill, -50% reduced current melee fatigue. On being released from special infected, instantly resets melee fatigue and prevents gaining more for 3 seconds.
    • Piercing Bullets: On shooting same infected, +1% increased damage per bullet. Effect resets when changing target, changing weapon, or reloading. Bonus is tripled when using AWP / Scout sniper rifle or Magnum pistol.
    • Guardian Moustachio: Gives 5 seconds of moustachio bless if lethal damage is taken.
      <Works only once per round>
    • Deadly Shove: Shoves instantly kill special infected. Works 3 times after the round starts. It recharges once every 3 minutes in COOP only.
    • Zombie Erradicator: Allows you to instantly kill normal common infected with any weapon.
    • Hidden Magnum: On incapacitation, gives you magnum instead of a pistol.
    • Flaming Sword: Sets your sword on fire, melee hits ignite and deal mixture of fire and melee damage to infected, pierces 10% of melee defense.
      <Works only with the Katana, Machete and Golf Club>
    • Dummy Rounds: Gives ranged weapons 20% chance not to consume ammunition. Cannot work with Grenade Launchers.
      <Incompatible with Deadeye Buff>
    • Adrenaline Run: While at least 1 tank is alive, infinite adrenaline effect.
      <Buff has no effect in Survival gamemode>
    • Prescription Medication: Can buy pills/adrenaline shot for free once per round in the !buy menu.
    • Blunt Force Trauma: After 3 melee strikes on the same special infected with bats or golf club, x2 damage and stun for 1 second.
      <Target can't be stunned if it has been stunned less than 15 seconds ago>

    Tips for effectively using this buff set
    • If there is any special infected trying to get in melee hits on you while your still standing, or you anticipate a bitch slap/karma charge incoming, be sure to try to shove for a few moments. You may end up getting a lucky kill.

    Benefits of this buff set <top>

    • Goggles: Obtain goggles that protect you from bile. Buff includes "Cheap Goggles" buff effect.
    • Mutation Shield: Protection against Mutation Bad Status Effect.
    • Poison Shield: Protection against Poison Bad Status Effect.
    • Shaman Handler: -90% reduced damage taken from Shaman / Supreme Shaman Tanks. Buff will stop working if mutated.
    • Guardian Moustachio: Gives 5 seconds of moustachio bless if lethal damage is taken.
      <Works only once per round>
    • Acid Protection: -25% decreased slow and damage received from spitter's acid.
    • Hope on Sight: While incapacitated, if there is a nearby standing survivor, -50% decreased bleed out rate and -5% decreased damage taken +1% for each additional nearby standing survivor.
      <Buff only active while incapacitated>
    • Group Morale: -1% reduced damage taken for every other survivor alive.
    • General Tank Handler: -0.12% reduced damage taken from tanks x current level.
      <Max buff defense percent: 90%>
    • Enhanced Anger Ignition: On hit from any infected, 1% chance to ignite everything around you. Continuously ignites for 5 seconds dealing 30HP/s to infected.
    • Hidden Magnum: On incapacitation, gives you magnum instead of a pistol.
    • Crush resistance: 1 - 50% decreased damage taken based on current Incapacitation HP. The higher your incapacitation HP the more damage blocked.
    • Protective Bag: Allows you to activate a device to cover you with a strong bag for 8 (2 on versus) seconds. You become immune to ALL sources of damage but cannot attack or move. All infected lose interest and will completely ignore you. <Cooldown: 5 minutes> <Must be on the ground to activate>

    Tips for effectively using this buff set
    • If you can, get the shaman tank to aggro you instead of the other players by trying to be in front of the tank, you can tank handle it yourself with reduced damage taken without any worries.
    • If you don't have moustachio bless to protect you or about to get karma charged/slapped, be sure to activate the Protective Bag buff so you can have a chance to escape afterwards.

    Notes
    • *If you want some healing in your buff set, then replace the Hope on Sight Buff with Morphine Injector Buff.
    • **If you want some more healing in your buff set, then replace the Group Morale Buff with Fentanyl Injector Buff.

    Benefits of this buff set <top>

    • Goggles: Obtain goggles that protect you from bile. Buff includes "Cheap Goggles" buff effect.
    • Extra Powder: +1000% increased pipe bomb damage done (Affects Traps).
      <Doesn't affect Seeking Grenade damage>
    • Guardian Moustachio: Gives 5 seconds of moustachio bless if lethal damage is taken.
      <Works only once per round>
    • Shoving Expert: Disables shove penalties.
    • Deadly Shove: Shoves instantly kill special infected. Works 3 times after the round starts. It recharges once every 3 minutes in COOP only.
    • Double Projectile: Allows you to throw 2 pipe bomb and vomit jar projectiles.
    • Grenade Trap: Allows you to setup throwable traps on the floor. Aim the floor while crouching and shove (right-click) to setup trap. Up to 3 traps can be out at the same time with a max of 3 of each type per round.
    • Frag Grenade: Your pipe bomb will instantly detonate on collision.
      <Incompatible with Sticky Grenade buff>
    • Dense Vomit Cloud: After throwing vomit jars, infected continue to be biled while passing through it.
      <Versus: it can only affect 3 special infected>
    • Freezing Grenade: Exchanges pipe bombs for freezing bombs. Infected caught in the explosion suffer movement speed loss or become frozen depending on distance.
      <Freeze duration: 10 seconds (3 for tanks)>
      <You can't freeze ice tanks>
      <Incompatible with other buffs that change grenade contents>
      <Same target can't be frozen for 20 seconds>
    • Survival Payment: After round begins, +1 bounty earned every 2 minutes.
    • Hunting Reward: On each special infected kill, +2% chance to get +1 additional bounty on bounty earning action.
      <Max: 30%>
    • Testament: If dead, you can access !buy menu to remove all bounty and send 10% of total bounty earned to all alive survivors.

    Tips for effectively using this buff set
    • If you need to stop infected from chasing you from behind, be sure to either set up a pipe bomb trap for when they are further away or try to explode them by throwing your pipe bomb at the approximate location.
    • If you want to have the maximum chance of earning bounty often from bounty earning actions, be that survivor who is killing special infected often.
    • When you are dead, make sure to send all of your bounty to all the other alive survivors if you don't expect to be defibbed back to life.

    Survivalist VS <top>

    Benefits of this buff set <top>

    • Goggles: Obtain goggles that protect you from bile. Buff includes "Cheap Goggles" buff effect.
    • Excitement: On killing common infected, +1THP. On killing special infected, +8THP.
      <Buff doesn't work if your poisoned>
      <Temporary health can't exceed maximum health>
    • Regeneration outage: On headshot on infected, disables regeneration skills and buffs for 5 seconds.
      <Does not work with tanks>
    • Mutation Shield: Protection against Mutation Bad Status Effect.
    • Poison Shield: Protection against Poison Bad Status Effect.
    • Guardian Moustachio: Gives 5 seconds of moustachio bless if lethal damage is taken.
      <Works only once per round>
    • Morphine Injector: Heals 3 HP every 5 seconds while not incapacitated or hanging from a ledge. Cannot heal if poisoned.
      <Incompatible with Advanced Morphine Injector Buff>
    • Fentanyl Injector: Heals 3HP/s after receiving damage from tanks until you reach full health. Cannot be healed if poisoned or incapacitated.
    • Vital Spirit: On being revived, 25% THP becomes HP instead.
    • Infirmary: In place for throwables, able to equip 2 health items (First Aid/Defib) at once.
      <Can't pickup second health item with throwable in hand, swap to other weapon first>
      <Press the ZOOM key with your health item held to swap between the two>
      <You will drop your secondary item on death or when the round concludes>
    • Health Dispenser: Allows you to place a special device on the floor using medikit. Nearby survivors receive +15 + 0.5% Max HP per second, cured of all bad status effects and given moustachio bless for 5 seconds.
      <Hold medikit and shove floor while crouching to activate>
      <Duration: 14 seconds>
      <Versus: 8HP per second, 1 second of moustachio bless, does not clear bad statuses>
    • Enhanced pills: 40% of THP restored by taking pills becomes HP.
    • Special First Aid: On first aid kit use, cure all bad status effects off you and any nearby survivors. You also become immune to the next inflicted bad status effect.

    Tips for effectively using this buff set
    • With the Infirmary Buff, you are able to hold 2 health items instead of one, make sure to get a second first aid kit when you can.
    • If you and others are affected by bad status effects you would rather not want to be affected by, you can activate the Health Dispenser Buff to heal yourself and get rid of them.

    Notes
    • *If you want a chance to earn additional bounty from bounty earning actions, change out the Regeneration outage Buff for the Hunting Reward Buff.
