    This is just a general guideline for the recommended buffs on any particular equipment buff set that suits your playstyle. Remember, the buff sets have their strengths and weaknesses and may / may not be suited to whatever buffs you want on any equipment buff set you come up with. These buff sets do not contain any other buffs other than the unique and quest buffs only.

    The Equipment Buff Sets are generally situated towards improving the usage of weapons against infected.

    Pyromania Destroyer COOP <top>
    • (SURV) Knife

    Benefits of this buff set <top>
    • Knife: Gives you 1 knife that can be used to release yourself from an SI attack once. Your knife can be used after 1 second of being pinned, by pressing ZOOM button.
    • Goggles: Obtain goggles that protect you from bile. Buff includes "Cheap Goggles" buff effect.
    • Hunting Reward: On each special infected kill, +2% chance to get +1 additional bounty on bounty earning action.
      <Max: 30%>
    • On Fire: 1% chance of setting any infected on fire on each gun shot.
    • Intense Fire: Infected ignited by you take +1% of current HP as bonus damage per fire tick.
      <No effect on tanks>
    • Anger Ignition: On Infected hitting you, 1% chance to ignite everything around you.
      <Your teammates receive 1HP fire damage from this>
    • Tenacity: +2000 + 200 per level above 201 increased maximum HP. You instantly die when your HP reaches 0.
      <Health from medikits used is halved for each medikit used, down to 25% (100% -> 50% -> 25%)>
      <Players with Tenacity equipped have increased aggro from Tanks by 50%>
      <Coop Only>
    • Hyperactive: On using pills/adrenaline shot, +10% increased swing and movement speed, swing stamina cannot decrease, able to run through common infected for 15 seconds.
      <Incompatible with Ninja Buff>
    • Immolation: Allows you to press the <ZOOM> key with molotov in hand to consume it. You become ignited, gain +20% slow resistance and any nearby infected (not tanks) will catch fire, you take 1 damage every 0.2 seconds and will have no defenses.
      <Duration: 25 seconds>
      <Coop Only>
      <10 second cooldown between uses>
    • Grenade Trap: Allows you to setup throwable traps on the floor. Aim the floor while crouching and shove (right-click) to setup trap. Up to 3 traps can be out at the same time with a max of 3 of each type per round.
    • Dummy Rounds: Gives ranged weapons 20% chance not to consume ammunition. Cannot work with Grenade Launchers.
      <Incompatible with Deadeye Buff>.
    • Survival Payment: After round begins, +1 bounty earned every 2 minutes.
    • Peanut Blessing: While under Moustachio Bless. +1 stack of peanut blessing for each bounty earning action. Additional bounty = x stacks, up to max of 3 stacks. Effect resets when Moustachio Bless ends.
    • Finale Dominator: On finale/survival maps, On each special infected kill, +1 stack of finale dominator (+2 stacks on each uber special infected kill), up to 15. +3% increased damage, +1% increased defense, +0.5% increased movement speed, +0.5% increased fire rate, +2% increased reload speed and +2% chance to save ammo. You lose a stack in (25-stacks) seconds or if pinned by special infected or if incapacitated. You lose all stacks on death.

    Tips for effectively using this buff set well
    • If you want the full +30% chance at earning additional bounty from killing Special Infected, be sure to kill 15 Special Infected for the maximum chance.
    • The best way to kill Special Infected quickly is with the use of fire. Use a faster fire rate weapon to get more chances in less time for the On Fire Buff effect to work.
    • Before you activate the Immolation Buff, make sure to use your pain pills or an adrenaline shot first to activate the Hyperactive buff effect so that you get the additional movement speed. Then activate the Immolation Buff to go ignite every special infected that you need to target. It will help out the other survivors fighting the infected in a large area.
    • If you see a lot of bounty earning opportunities, heal yourself if you can with your First Aid Kit, then quickly go do the things that you need to do in order to earn your bounty + up to 3 additional bounty based on the amount of Peanut Blessing Stacks.
    • When you have the Finale Dominator buff effect active on finale/survival maps. Make sure to kill Special Infected often so that the higher amount of stacks you have will result in increased survivability rates for you and for the survivor team itself.

    • Double Projectile: Allows you to throw 2 pipe bomb and vomit jar projectiles.
    • Grenade Trap: Allows you to setup throwable traps on the floor. Aim the floor while crouching and shove (right-click) to setup trap. Up to 3 traps can be out at the same time with a max of 3 of each type per round.
    • Heat Missile: -20% reduced base movement speed. Grenade Launcher projectile seeks out for 1000 units range at the time of firing. <Not recommended for versus>
    • Floral Grenade Launch: On first grenade launcher shot, fire +10 additional projectiles. Overrides Ice Shield clan buff. Grenade Launcher becomes unusable for 10 seconds afterwards.
    • Frag Grenade: Your pipe bomb will instantly detonate on collision.
      <Incompatible with Sticky Grenade buff>
    • Advanced Grenade Launcher: Allow you to shoot 5 grenade launcher projectiles, -225% decreased reloading speed (before modifiers).
      <Coop Only>
    • Underbarrel Launcher: Gives any SMG, Assault Rifle or Shotgun an underbarrel launcher that uses explosive grenades. The projectile can be fired with ZOOM key up to 3 times per round. You can refill it at ammo piles every 2 minutes.
      <Buffs that affect/use the Grenade Launcher don't affect the Underbarrel Launcher>
      <Coop Only>
    • Survival Payment: After round begins, +1 bounty earned every 2 minutes.
    • Finale Dominator: On finale/survival maps, On each special infected kill, +1 stack of finale dominator (+2 stacks on each uber special infected kill), up to 15. +3% increased damage, +1% increased defense, +0.5% increased movement speed, +0.5% increased fire rate, +2% increased reload speed and +2% chance to save ammo. You lose a stack in (25-stacks) seconds or if pinned by special infected or if incapacitated. You lose all stacks on death.

    Tips for effectively using this buff set well
    • If you want the full +30% chance at earning additional bounty from killing Special Infected, be sure to kill 15 Special Infected for the maximum chance.
    • Careful planning of your grenade traps can lead to the Special Infected being killed before they can even try to attack the survivors. Plant your traps where you do know the Special Infected are going to attack from.
    • For the best accuracy and damage dealing with the Grenade Launcher, be sure to shoot from a close distance to your target that your aiming to get damage on. This also applies when throwing pipe bombs since you will want to hit your target for the best results.
    • For the Underbarrel Launcher Buff, consider using the buff effect when you can aim to directly hit any Special Infected that is either standing still or aggroing on a survivor that is standing still or incapacitated. That way, you will have the best accuracy and chance at hitting that Special Infected when you go to attack it.
    • When you have the Finale Dominator buff effect active on finale/survival maps. Make sure to kill Special Infected often so that the higher amount of stacks you have will result in increased survivability rates for you and for the survivor team itself.

    • Goggles: Obtain goggles that protect you from bile. Buff includes "Cheap Goggles" buff effect.
    • Hunting Reward: On each special infected kill, +2% chance to get +1 additional bounty on bounty earning action.

    • Extra Powder: +1000% increased pipe bomb damage done (Affects Traps).

    • Butcher: On melee hit, Infected take +1% of current HP as bonus damage.

    • Tenacity: +2000 + 200 per level above 201 increased maximum HP. You instantly die when your HP reaches 0.

      <Players with Tenacity equipped have increased aggro from Tanks by 50%>
      <Coop Only>
    • Double Projectile: Allows you to throw 2 pipe bomb and vomit jar projectiles.
    • Grenade Trap: Allows you to setup throwable traps on the floor. Aim the floor while crouching and shove (right-click) to setup trap. Up to 3 traps can be out at the same time with a max of 3 of each type per round.
    • Seeking Grenade: Allows pipe bomb to seek for special infected. Takes 10 more seconds to detonate, but deals 300 flat damage (upgrades/skills/buffs don't affect it) +50HP x common infected killed between the time it is thrown to the time it detonates.
      <Incompatible with Frag Grenade buff>
      <Not affected by Extra Powder buff>
    • Chainsaw Dumbass: On common infected kill, +5% chainsaw fuel refill. On special infected kill, +20% chainsaw fuel refill.
    • Dense Vomit Cloud: After throwing vomit jars, infected continue to be biled while passing through it.
      <Versus: it can only affect 3 special infected>
    • Freezing Grenade: Exchanges pipe bombs for freezing bombs. Infected caught in the explosion suffer movement speed loss or become frozen depending on distance.
      <Freeze duration: 10 seconds (3 for tanks)>
      <You can't freeze ice tanks>
      <Incompatible with other buffs that change grenade contents>
      <Same target can't be frozen for 20 seconds>
    • Survival Payment: After round begins, +1 bounty earned every 2 minutes.
    • Finale Dominator: On finale/survival maps, On each special infected kill, +1 stack of finale dominator (+2 stacks on each uber special infected kill), up to 15. +3% increased damage, +1% increased defense, +0.5% increased movement speed, +0.5% increased fire rate, +2% increased reload speed and +2% chance to save ammo. You lose a stack in (25-stacks) seconds or if pinned by special infected or if incapacitated. You lose all stacks on death.

    Tips for effectively using this buff set well
    • If you want the full +30% chance at earning additional bounty from killing Special Infected, be sure to kill 15 Special Infected for the maximum chance.
    • If you plan on throwing out a pipe bomb, make sure first that you know the target that you are aiming for by being close to it. Then once you throw it, consider throwing a vomit jar towards any common infected around to bring all the common infected in an area together. That way it becomes easier to kill them all at once, allowing your seeking grenade pipe bombs to deal more damage.
    • If you want thrown vomit jar projectiles to hit the tank, make sure that you are close to the tank and or that the tank is frozen first before you throw it to ensure the best accuracy.
    • When you have the Finale Dominator buff effect active on finale/survival maps. Make sure to kill Special Infected often so that the higher amount of stacks you have will result in increased survivability rates for you and for the survivor team itself.
