    This is just a general guideline for the recommended buffs on any particular equipment buff set that suits your playstyle. Remember, the buff sets have their strengths and weaknesses and may / may not be suited to whatever buffs you want on any equipment buff set you come up with.

    The Equipment Buff Sets are generally situated towards improving the usage of weapons against infected.

    Pyromania Destroyer COOP <top>

    Benefits of this buff set <top>
    • Knife: Gives you a knife that can be used to release yourself from Special Infected, usable after 1 second of being trapped using the ZOOM button.
    • Goggles: Goggles that protect you from bile, mud and blood.
    • Hunting Reward: For each Special Infected kill in the current map, +2% chance to earn 1 additional bounty. <Max: 30%>
    • On Fire: 1% chance of setting any infected on fire.
    • Intense Fire: Infected take 1% of their HP as bonus damage while on fire. <No effect on tanks>
    • Anger Ignition: On Infected hitting you, 1% chance to ignite everything around you. <Teammates receive 1HP damage>
    • Enhanced Anger Ignition: On hit from any infected, 1% chance to ignite everything around you. Continuously ignites for 5 seconds and deals 30 HP/s.
    • Tenacity: 2000 + (200 per level above 201) increased maximum health, you instantly die when HP reaches 0. Health received from medikits is halved, down to 25%. 50% Increased aggro to tanks. <Coop Only>
    • Immolation: After pressing default ZOOM key, consuming your molotov in hand, 10% increased movement speed and able to ignite nearby infected on fire. take 1 damage every 0.2 seconds and your defense becomes 0 all for 30 seconds. <Duration: 30 seconds> <Coop Only>
    • Grenade Trap: Setup traps on the floor using your throwable by crouching and hitting the melee button (Right Click). Can only have 3 traps up at the same time and can only have 3 traps of the same type per round.
    • M60 Dumbass: 2 bullets restored on common infected kill and 8 bullets restored on special infected kill to the M60. <Coop Only>
    • Bullet Scavenger: Gives your primary weapon 1% missing ammo per second while running and not incapacitated.
    • Flaming Sword: Sets your Katana, Machete or Golf Club on fire, making it instantly ignite the infected it hits and deal a mixture of fire and melee damage instead of just melee damage. Pierces melee weapon attack defenses by 10%.
    • Flamethrower: Gives you a powerful flamethrower that can hurt special tanks, deals 75 true damage every 0.1 seconds. <Coop Only> <Ammo save chance or damage modifiers bonus have no effect> <Cannot buy or use special ammo (can still buy ammo packs)>

    Tips for effectively using this buff set well
    • If you are under the Enhanced Anger Ignition Buff effect, go run around at nearby special infected that you did not ignite the first time to ensure that they do get ignited.
    • If you need to go ignite a lot of spawned Special Infected that isn't too far away from everyone, you can activate the Immolation buff and go ignite every Special Infected that you need to target. It will help the other survivors out in a large area.
    • If shooting at Special Infected does not kill them, because they are benefiting from some form of defense, then use your melee that works with the Flaming Sword and whack them once, the Special Infected will die off quickly due to the fire damage.

    Benefits of this buff set <top>
    • Knife: Gives you a knife that can be used to release yourself from Special Infected, usable after 1 second of being trapped using the ZOOM button.
    • Goggles: Goggles that protect you from bile, mud and blood.
    • Hunting Reward: For each Special Infected kill in the current map, +2% chance to earn 1 additional bounty. <Max: 30%>
    • Extra Powder: Pipebombs deal +1000% increased damage to special infected (Affects Traps). <Seeking Grenade Damage isn't affected>
    • Zapping Gun: Running around charges the pistol to full power. For each %, 10 Increased damage dealt. When the pistol is charged, the next shot also stuns for 2 seconds. Each successful shot resets charge to 0%. <Charged shot activates on special infected and tanks only> <The same target cannot be stunned within 10 seconds of another Zapping Pistol stun> <Gun recharge rate: 3% per second while running> <Coop Only>
    • Tenacity: 2000 + (200 per level above 201) increased maximum health, you instantly die when HP reaches 0. Health received from medikits is halved, down to 25%. 50% Increased aggro to tanks. <Coop Only>
    • Double Projectile: Throw 2 projectiles instead of one.
    • Grenade Trap: Setup traps on the floor using your throwable by crouching and hitting the melee button (Right Click). Can only have 3 traps up at the same time and can only have 3 traps of the same type per round.
    • Heat Missile: 20% reduced movement speed. Grenade Launcher projectile seeks out for 1000 units at the time of firing from position. <Not recommended for VS>
    • Floral Grenade Launch: Fires 10 additional projectiles that block Ice Shield Clan Benefit on first grenade launcher shot. COOP: Grenade Launcher becomes unusable for 10 seconds after firing first shot.
    • Frag Grenade: Pipebombs instantly detonate on collision.
    • Advanced Grenade Launcher: Allows to shoot 5 grenade launcher projectiles, 225% decreased reloading speed (before modifiers). <Coop Only>
    • Electric Frag Grenade: Infected caught in the explosion of Electric frag bombs are stunned for 4 seconds (1 second on tanks) and become ignited. If they were in water, they also get electrocuted for 30 seconds. <Incompatible with other buffs that change grenade contents> <Same target cannot be electrocuted again for 30 seconds after effect ends> <Coop Only>
    • Sticky Bomb: Allows you to attach a device to tanks which will detonate after 30 seconds. Deals 15,000 true damage to it and any infected within 350 units. Survivors caught within explosion will take 15% of their maximum HP (Max: 1,000 HP) and be stunned for 5 seconds. Bomb fails if tank dies. Only 1 bomb can be attached at once. <Hold the USE key then shove the tank> <Subsequent uses on the same target halves damage up to 2 times> <Once per round> <Coop Only>

    Tips for effectively using this buff set well
    • If you want to have a chance at earning additional bounty from the Hunting Reward Buff effect, be sure to kill Special Infected often.
    • Careful planning of your grenade traps can lead to Special Infected being killed before they even try to attack the survivors. Plant your traps where you do know the Special Infected are going to attack from.
    • For the best accuracy and damage dealing with the Grenade Launcher, be sure to shoot from a close distance to your target that your aiming to get damage on. This also applies when throwing pipe bombs since you will want to hit your target for the best results.
    • If you have your Zapping Gun charged at 100%, and in an area of water with your target, be sure to zap him, and then quickly throw your pipebomb at that target as soon as the stun expires so that he can be stunned again and inflicted with the electrocution bad status effect.
    • Make sure to use your Sticky Bomb Buff first on the tank that you really want to deal a lot of damage to. This is especially important for when you want to get rewards for reaching damage thresholds much faster and much easier.

    • Hunting Reward: For each Special Infected kill in the current map, 2% chance to earn 1 additional bounty. <Max: 30%>
    • Extra Powder: Pipebombs deal +1000% increased damage to special infected (Affects Traps). <Seeking Grenade Damage isn't affected>
    • Butcher: Target takes 1% of current health as bonus damage on melee weapon hit.
    • Tenacity: 2000 + (200 per level above 201) increased maximum health, you instantly die when HP reaches 0. Health received from medikits is halved, down to 25%. 50% Increased aggro to tanks. <Coop Only>
    • Double Projectile: Throw 2 projectiles instead of one.
    • Grenade Trap: Setup traps on the floor using your throwable by crouching and hitting the melee button (Right Click). Can only have 3 traps up at the same time and can only have 3 traps of the same type per round.
    • Seeking Grenade: Pipebomb can seek Special Infected, taking 10 more seconds to detonate, dealing 300HP flat damage plus 50HP for every common infected killed while the pipebomb is ticking. <Incompatible with Frag Grenade Buff> <Not affected by Extra Powder Buff>
    • Chainsaw Dumbass: 5% refill on each common infected kill and 20% refill on each special infected kill of maximum capacity.
    • Dense Vomit Cloud: After throwing vomit jars, infected continue to be biled while passing through it. <Versus: Only 3 Special Infected can be affected>
    • Freezing Grenade: Freezing Bombs which make infected become frozen or suffer speed reduction based on proximity. <Freeze Duration: 10 seconds (3 for tanks)> <You can't freeze ice tanks> <Incompatible with other buffs that change grenade contents>
    • Corrosive Vomit Jar: Vomit Jars thrown on targets will disable their defenses for the duration of the vomit. Lasts 5 seconds for tanks. <Coop Only>
    • Gory Killer: Chainsaws used by you now deal true damage to infected. Deals 10% (Max: 500 HP on tanks) of targets current health as additional damage. <Coop Only>

    Tips for effectively using this buff set well
    • If you want thrown vomit jar projectiles to hit the tank, make sure that you are close to the tank and or that the tank is frozen first before you throw it to ensure good accuracy.
    • If the tank is frozen, make sure your in close range so that you can deal a good amount of damage to the tank with your chainsaw for a few seconds. You can further increase this by throwing a corrosive vomit jar onto the tank after it is frozen to disable its defenses for 5 seconds.
