    General Infected Buffs usually help you or your special infected to specialise in a strategy that'll help you to kill the survivors or to make your own survival much easier on your own. It can also help to determine your overall playstyle based on how you want to approach killing the survivors.

    1. Vampire

    Buff Requirements:
    Cash Cost: $2,250 Cash
    Required Level: 35

    Description:
    You heal yourself by x10 the amount of physical damage you deal. As a Tank, the heal gain is halved.
    <Incompatible with Regeneration Skill>

    Tips on Buff Usage:
    • If your special infected user is a big damage dealer (such as a Hunter or a Charger) or you want to have some survivability while you annoy the survivors with your buff effects, be sure to use this buff! It's very helpful for when you're pinning any survivor alone as well, so that you can survive whatever the survivor decides to try throwing at you.

    Benefit in Buff Sets:
    You heal 10x the amount of physical damage dealt to survivors. Health gain halved on tanks.
    <Incompatible with Regeneration Skill>
    2. Biological Hologram

    Buff Requirements:
    Cash Cost: $4,050 Cash
    FR-Pills Cost: 10 FR-Pills
    Required Level: 0

    Description:
    After you die as an infected, there is a 15% chance that you will leave a hologram on the floor, simulating a survivor being attacked by a charger or hunter. If survivors fall for this trap, it may buy your team some time.

    Tips on Buff Usage:
    • This can be useful distraction for any low level players on the survivor team, thus reducing any survivor attention to the other infected that may be alive. It might also be useful for obscuring the survivor's view of any nearby infected in indoor buildings with the hologram, but other high level survivors might not be fazed easily.

    Benefit in Buff Sets:
    Upon death, 15% chance to leave a hologram on the floor. This may distract nearby survivors.
    3. Electricity Wave Protection

    Buff Requirements:
    Cash Cost: $32,310 Cash
    FR-Pills Cost: 55 FR-Pills
    Required Level: 130

    Description:
    You will not instantly die if you get caught by an enemy survivor's electricity wave when he/she uses his/her knife. You will be left with 10% HP instead, giving you a chance to escape and let Vampire, Regeneration, Common Farmer or any other buff heal you.

    Tips on Buff Usage:
    • if you plan to coordinate an attack against the survivors, make sure that you aren't the one pinning the survivor before you go in for the kill. That way, the survivor won't know what's coming!

    Benefit in Buff Sets:
    You won't instantly die if caught by the knife electricity wave and will survive with 10% HP left.
    4. Rushing Massacre

    Buff Requirements:
    Cash Cost: $14,175 Cash
    Required Level: 100

    Description:
    Increases damage towards survivors by 0-100% depending on how far they are from the last survivor in the back.
    <Bots don't count as survivors in the back>
    <Does not affect tanks>

    Tips on Buff Usage:
    • A good buff to use if you plan on getting rushers or the Nightly Killer Buff won't work on the daytime map that you're on. Just make sure the survivors at the back can be held back from proceeding with the other infected around.

    Benefit in Buff Sets:
    Gives 0-100% increased damage towards survivors based on their distance from last survivor in the back.
    <Bots don't count as survivors in the back>
    <Does not affect tanks>
    5. Knife Deflection

    Buff Requirements:
    Cash Cost: $10,350 Cash
    FR-Pills Cost: 10 FR-Pills
    Required Level: 155

    Description:
    Allows you to counter a survivors knife use. Pressing the <ZOOM> key will put you on counter stance for 0.4 seconds. If the survivor uses his knife during this time, it will be deflected and you will stab him with it causing 150HP damage.
    <Usable only when a survivor is trapped by you>
    <Usable once per life>

    Tips on Buff Usage:
    • Most survivors won't know that an infected has the Knife Deflection Buff until its too late. If you want to make good use of it, use the buff effect right as the survivor becomes able to knife you when pinned. It may just give you a chance to counter them!

    Benefit in Buff Sets
    Allows you to counter survivor knife uses. Pressing the <ZOOM> key puts you into counter stance for 0.4s. If the survivor uses their knife in this time, it's deflected and you'll stab them with it for 150 HP damage.
    <Usable only when a survivor is trapped by you>
    <Usable once per life>
    6. Assassination Boost

    Buff Requirements:
    Cash Cost: $6,799 Cash
    Required Level: 107

    Description:
    Upon killing an enemy survivor, you will be granted with 200% additional attack damage until you die. Effect does not work with TANKS, BOTS or LOW LEVEL PLAYERS and does not accumulate. You must be alive at ALL times to maintain the effect. Returning to ghost mode will end the additional attack damage.

    Tips on Buff Usage:
    • If you're lucky enough to get a kill on a survivor, you'll want to be careful where you do go as an infected. The risk of dying increases significantly since the survivors will see an orange glow and they may choose to use their knives if they have any. If you aren't a hunter, choose your survivors to pin wisely. Even then as any infected with this buff, try to avoid dying.

    Benefit in Buff Sets:
    Upon killing any survivor, gain +200% increased damage dealt until you die. Effect doesn't work with tanks/bots/low level players and does not accumulate. Returning to ghost mode will end the additional damage.
    7. Common Farming

    Buff Requirements:
    Cash Cost: $4,500 Cash
    Required Level: 105

    Description:
    Killing a common infected using your claws will instantly heal you by 8% HP.

    Tips on Buff Usage:
    • Best to only use this buff for when you know you can't easily get to the survivors in front and need a safer way to regenerate with the Vampire Buff equipped. It can also be used if you want faster regeneration alongside the Regeneration skill active so you can get back to killing the survivors faster.

    Benefit in Buff Sets:
    Heal 8% Max HP for each Common Infected killed.
    8. Accumulated Rage

    Buff Requirements:
    Cash Cost: $904 Cash
    Required Level: 80

    Description:
    Adds 3% additional attack damage per second while alive. Accumulated damage resets after you attack a survivor.
    <Maximum bonus damage: 300%>
    <Does not work with Tanks>

    Tips on Buff Usage:
    • The Accumulated Rage damage increase can be useful on certain infected (Smoker, Jockey) to get in a powerful ambush attack on any unsuspecting survivor or it can be used to get in an extremely powerful attack that's targeted at either a group (Charger) or someone that you'll want killed (Hunter). Just make sure you don't miss your chance and don't wait too long to make your move!

    Benefit in Buff Sets:
    Gain 3% additional damage per second while alive. Accumulated damage resets after you damage any survivor.
    <Maximum bonus damage: 300%>

    <Does not work with Tanks>
    9. Saferoom Mayhem

    Buff Requirements:
    Cash Cost: $8,820 Cash
    Required Level: 120

    Description:
    Increases attack damage by 150% while being inside saferooms.

    Tips on Buff Usage:
    • This is a must have buff as a tank! If you use this buff, you'll have a much easier time taking down all of the survivors. Just keep in mind that it might not be easy to do now given recent changes to tanks with some buffs being nerfed. As for the other infected, its nice to use this buff if you want to initiate a surprise attack at the start/end of maps inside the saferoom area.

    Benefit in Buff Sets:
    Deal +150% increased damage while inside saferooms.
    10. No Rescue for You

    Buff Requirements:
    Cash Cost: $18,000 Cash
    FR-Pills Cost: 10 FR-Pills
    Required Level: 100

    Description:
    Increases needed time for the rescue to be ready by 5 seconds. Accumulates with other players.
    <Works only with timer based finales>

    Tips on Buff Usage:
    • Unfortunately, it's a very underused buff. If you want the rescue vehicle to be taking longer to arrive, then you and several other infected players should be using this buff. This can be useful to have equipped in cases where the infected team is considerably weaker in player level compared to the survivors. As a survivor however, you should be careful to take extra measures to avoid dying if any additional time is added on.

    Benefit in Buff Sets:
    Makes the rescue take +5 seconds longer to arrive. Accumulates with other players.
    <Works only with timer based finales>
    11. Bounty Saving

    Buff Requirements:
    Cash Cost: $14,850 Cash
    FR-Pills Cost: 4 FR-Pills
    Required Level: 101

    Description:
    Increases your attack damage for each 4 bounty you have by 1% i.e If you have 20 bounty, your attack damage is increased by 5%.
    <Maximum Bonus: 30%>

    Tips on Buff Usage:
    • If you plan to save up for normal or a higher tier tank rather than spending your bounty on stat upgrades/witches, then this buff is worth using. As a tank, it can be the difference between the survivors being able to damage you or you being able to incapacitate them faster when it comes to your additional damage.

    Benefit in Buff Sets:
    For every 4 bounty gained, you gain +1% increased damage dealt.
    <Maximum Bonus: 30%>
    12. Inner Toxins

    Buff Requirements:
    Cash Cost: $6,840 Cash
    FR-Pills Cost: 5 FR-Pills
    Required Level: 135

    Description:
    Injects toxins into the survivor's body on each hit with your claws. Once you die, the toxins will detonate and instantly deal 15% of the total damage you did with your claws to the survivor while you were alive.
    <Does not work with tanks>
    <Max damage: 70HP>

    Tips on Buff Usage:
    • If you plan on causing harassment to the survivors by going on over to melee them, do so with 1 or 2 survivors at a time if you want to deal the maximum amount of damage from this buff. You'll be more likely to die before you can deal a lot of damage with anymore survivors around.

    Benefit in Buff Sets:
    Upon hitting any survivor, inject toxins into their body. Upon death, the toxins explode dealing 15% of the total damage you did to those affected while alive.
    <Does not work with tanks>
    <Max Damage: 70HP>
    13. Nightly Killer

    Buff Requirements:
    Cash Cost: $7,200 Cash
    Required Level: 70

    Description:
    Increases damage dealt by 35% on night maps.

    Tips on Buff Usage:
    • If your special infected is a damage dealer and the map is at night time, make sure to equip this buff! It'll at times help you to get a survivor killed faster than you would otherwise without it.

    Benefit in Buff Sets:
    When on night maps, deal +35% increased damage.
    14. Damage Return

    Buff Requirements:
    Cash Cost: $6,840 Cash
    FR-Pills Cost: 1 FR-Pills
    Required Level: 75

    Description:
    Randomly (2% chance) returns 20% of the damage taken from survivors. Chance increases (to 5%) if your health is below 10%.
    <Maximum Damage Returned: 12>

    Tips on Buff Usage:
    • Generally, this buff is only more useful on a higher maximum HP infected and thus should be used if you want a way to counter the survivors dealing damage to you. Most useful with a tank where in cases where your punches didn't incapacitate the survivor and left them with low HP instead.

    Benefit in Buff Sets:
    Gives a 2% chance to return 20% of the damage taken from survivors. Becomes 5% chance instead if HP is below 10%.
    <Maximum Damage Returned: 12>
    15. Mark of Permanent Death

    Buff Requirements:
    Cash Cost: $9,000 Cash
    FR-Pills Cost: 10 FR-Pills
    Required Level: 100

    Description:
    Each time you hit a survivor with your claws you will leave a mark on him. After the survivor accumulates 160 of YOUR marks his next dead will be un-defibable (ragdoll dead).
    <Marks last through the entire round>

    Tips on Buff Usage:

    • Considered to be the #2 Most Underused Buff by most metrics. This buff can potentially be useful if you're using a special infected that does not get hit very often and can land in a lot of hits in a short time. You're best bet is to target 1 survivor, then focus on that survivor for the entirety of the map until they either die, reach 160 marks or get to the saferoom. It's quite hard to do but still possible to mark a survivor for their permanent death.

    Benefit in Buff Sets:
    Each time you hit a survivor with your claws, that survivor gains +1 mark. After that survivor accumulates 160 of your marks, they will permanently die upon death.
    <Marks last through the entire round>
    16. Sweep Bile

    Buff Requirements:
    Cash Cost: $8,595 Cash
    FR-Pills Cost: 1 FR-Pill
    Required Level: 87

    Description:
    Decreases by 80% the time you spend biled as infected after being hit by a vomit jar.

    Tips on Buff Usage:

    • For the Smokers, Spitters and Tanks, this buff can be useful for letting you be less easily spotted by the other nearby survivors if you're high up when you're biled by one. It's otherwise not as useful outside of those cases and is generally considered a underused buff.

    Benefit in Buff Sets:
    When hit by a vomit jar, spend -80% less time biled as infected.
    17. Moustachio Bomb

    Buff Requirements:
    Cash Cost: $42,750 Cash
    FR-Pills Cost: 25 FR-Pills
    Required Level: 200

    Description:
    10% of the total damage you deal to a survivor under moustachio bless will be applied to the survivor once it ends.

    Tips on Buff Usage:

    • This buff can be useful for potentially killing off a survivor near death should their Guardian Moustachio Buff activate with most special infected. This is it's only useful use though.

    Benefit in Buff Sets:

    10% of the total damage dealt to a survivor under moustachio bless applies once it ends.
    18. Witch Resistance

    Buff Requirements:
    Cash Cost: $9,900 Cash
    FR-Pills Cost: 1 FR-Pill
    Required Level: 160

    Description:
    Increases by 1000HP the health of Witches you spawn and reduces the damage they take by 90% for 10 seconds after they are startled. Damage reduction decays over the 10 seconds. Witches will cost 5 extra bounty to purchase.

    Tips on Buff Usage:

    • If you need to slow the survivors down with witches, using the Witch Resistance Buff is your best bet. If you do plan to save on bounty though for something else, spending your bounty on witches isn't the best purchase to make, so use them sparingly. Having an attack plan helps.

    Benefit in Buff Sets:

    Gives your spawned witches +1,000 additional max HP and gives 90% damage reduction after they're startled. Damage reduction decays over 10 seconds. Witches cost 5 extra bounty to purchase.
    19. Final Showdown

    Buff Requirements:
    Cash Cost: $6750
    FR-Pills Cost: 10
    Required Level: 130

    Description:
    Increases the amount of bounty you receive by 15% on finale maps.

    Tips on Buff Usage:

    Benefit in Buff Sets:
    20. |E| Fear

    Buff Requirements: Event reward

    Description:
    If you have pinned a survivor for at least 6 seconds, upon release the pinned survivor will suffer from the Fear status effect for as long as they were pinned minus 5 seconds, maximum 5 seconds.

    Tips on Buff Usage:

    Benefit in Buff Sets:
    21. |E| Rawr... love

    Buff Requirements: Event reward

    Description:
    You just love survivors!... flesh.
    - Each 3rd direct hit of any kind (excepting spit and smoke) will deal additional 5HP damage to enemy survivor. If you don't attack in the next 3 seconds the hit count is reset.

    8. Common Farming

    Description:
    Killing a common infected using your claws will instantly heal you by 8%HP.

    Positives
    + On killing a Common Infected, you heal for 8% of your maximum health.
    + A slightly useful Buff to be having when playing as the Spitter in the healing role.
    + Doesn't disable the Regeneration skill when used alone.

    Negatives
    - Less useful Buff when your special infected focuses more on damage dealing or slowing down survivors in most cases.

    Explanation
    The Common Farming Buff will let any special infected kill a common infected to heal 8% of their current health. More effective on special infected who have a higher amount of maximum health. It is considered to be a slightly useful buff for the Spitter in the healing role because it will allow her to regenerate her own HP manually as well as automatically while helping out other infected with their own health. The Regeneration skill won't be disabled by this buff alone when the buff is equipped which is one difference as a healing buff compared to the Vampire Buff. The buff is considered to be less useful when your Special Infected uses a role that focuses more on Damage dealing and Slowing down survivors in most cases unless its for coverage.

    Benefit in Buff Sets
    For each common infected killed, you heal 8% of your Maximum HP back.

    9. Accumulated Rage <top>

    Description:
    Adds 3% additional attack damage per second while alive. Accumulated damage resets after you attack a survivor.

    Positives
    + Increasing additional attack damage per second while alive.
    + A really useful Buff to be equipping on the Hunter and Charger when using the Damage dealer roles for both infected.
    + A useful Offensive Buff overall to be combining with other Offensive Buffs for increased damage dealt to survivors.

    Negatives
    - Additional attack damage is reset once you attack a survivor.

    Explanation
    This Special Infected is "Growing Angry each second...". The Accumulated Rage Buff adds a small amount of additional attack damage per second while the infected is currently alive. Therefore it's a useful buff to be equipping on the Hunter and Charger Buff sets in the Damage dealer role due to the hunter's pounce being able to deal up to insane amounts of damage as impact damage on any one survivor when successfully pinning them. Furthermore the Charger's impact damage can be quite surprising to survivors who don't see him charging when the Charger has been preparing to charge for quite some time. Overall though, it's a useful Offensive Buff to be combining with other Offensive Buffs to boost the damage dealt to survivors. The only downside to remember is that once you attack a survivor, the increased damage accumulated resets back to square one.

    Benefit in Buff Sets
    While alive, +3% additional damage added every second. Additional damage accumulated resets after you attack a survivor.

    10. Saferoom Mayhem <top>

    Description:
    Increases attack damage by 150% while being inside saferooms.

    Positives
    + Large increase in damage dealt while being inside saferooms.
    + Useful buff when using Hunters or Chargers under their Assassin and Damage dealer roles respectively.
    + Overall useful buff for the Spitter and Jockey under their Damage dealer roles respectively as well.

    Negatives
    - Less useful buff for the Boomer and Smoker since most saferooms are indoors
    - The effect of the buff is only active in saferooms. Not outside anywhere else.

    Explanation:
    Can we just attack early? the survivors are inside saferooms. sure thing the infected say. The Saferoom Mayhem Buff makes that decision worthwhile by largely increasing the damage dealt to survivors while they are still inside the safe zone. A very useful buff to the Hunter and Chargers in their Assassin and Damage dealer roles respectively due to to their high amounts of damage dealt that can easily make a healthy team feel weakened. It is also a useful buff for the Spitter and Jockey because their damage dealt can also have an impact on how healthy the survivors are overall with their buffs in their respective buff sets more quicker. The Smoker and Boomer don't seem to be quick damage dealers and are more likely to be killed off rather than doing decent damage so the buff for them is less useful. Also the effect of the buff can only be active inside saferooms, while outside it they aren't.

    Benefit in Buff Sets
    While inside saferooms, +150% increased damage dealt to survivors.

    11. No Rescue for You <top>

    Description:
    Increases needed time for the rescue to be ready by 5 seconds. Accumulates with other players.
    <Works only with timer based finales>

    Positives
    + Increased time taken for the rescue to arrive, making those precious seconds more worth the time needed to make it happen.
    + Can be accumulated with other infected players

    Negatives
    - The time increase will only work with timer based finales.
    +/- Can be beneficial to either the survivors or infected in the Cold Stream and The Parish finales depending on how strong/weak the team is.

    Explanation:
    Sorry guys! the rescue chopper is gonna be late... The No Rescue for You Buff ensures it so that survivors have to wait longer for the rescue to arrive. This makes it so that infected have a longer time to gain bounty to ensure that they can overpower the survivors before they win against them which is a good thing because the buff effects can be accumulated. The timer increase will only work with timer based finales. An optional thing to remember is that this time change can either be good or bad for the survivors doing the Cold Stream or The Parish finales.

    Benefit in Buff Sets
    +5 seconds added on to maximum rescue time. Accumulates with other players.
    <Works only with timer based finales>

    12. Bounty Saving <top>

    Description:
    Increases your attack damage for each 4 bounty you have by 1% i.e if you have 20 bounty, your attack damage is increased by 5%.
    <Maximum Bonus: 30%>

    Positives
    + Increased damage dealt to survivors with the more bounty you have as the infected.
    + Useful Buff to have when you use the Bounty Thief Buff on your infected and when having the Pickpocketing Buff on your Jockey.
    + Slightly Useful Buff to have when your not buying infected upgrades in !buy

    Negatives
    - If you spend bounty, your additional attack damage increase is decreased proportionally.

    Explanation:
    The Bounty Saving Buff increases your damage dealt to survivors for each small amount of bounty gained as the infected. A useful buff to have around when using the Bounty Thief and the Pickpocketing Buffs on the infected and the Jockey respectively. It is also a slightly useful buff to have when your not really buying anything in !buy. Now if you do spend bounty for whatever reason, your additional attack damage increase is decreased proportionally in relation to the amount of bounty lost.

    Benefit in Buff Sets
    For every 4 bounty, +1% additional damage.
    <Maximum Bonus: 30%>

    13. Damage Return <top>

    Description:
    Randomly (2% chance) returns 20% of the damage taken from survivors. Chance increases (to 5%) if your health is below 10%.
    <Maximum Damage Returned: 12>

    Positives
    + You randomly have a chance to reflect part of the damage dealt to you back at survivors.
    + More useful on infected with higher maximum HP

    Negatives
    - Reflect damage dealt to survivors is quite low
    - Low chance to reflect damage per bullet.

    Explanation:
    The Damage Return Buff lets you reflect damage dealt to you back to the survivors with a small chance to do so. While this buff is useful on infected with higher maximum HP, The Reflect damage dealt ain't so much though. Also the chance to reflect per bullet is low.

    Benefit in Buff Sets
    Low chance to return 20% of the damage taken from survivors. Increased chance if current HP = or less than 10% of Maximum HP

    14. Inner Toxins <top>

    Description:
    Injects toxins into the survivor's body on each hit with your claws. Once you die, the toxins will detonate and instantly deal 15% of the total damage you did with your claws to the survivor while you were alive.
    <Does not work with tanks>
    <Max damage: 70HP>

    Positives
    + You can melee any survivor and inject toxins into their body, once you die you deal damage equal to a small proportion of the total damage dealt with your claws to each survivor you affected.
    + A slightly useful buff to be using on infected that have higher maximum HP for when their priority is dying to deal buff effects.

    Negatives
    - Less useful buff to be using on infected that don't prioritize their deaths for buff effects.
    - The buff effect won't work with tanks.

    Explanation:
    *Slashes a survivor several times* *gets shot by that survivor and dies*, "not that big of a deal, let my toxins do the work!" The Inner Toxins Buff will let you melee any survivor and inject toxins into their body that explode once that infected who affected the survivor dies. The survivor is dealt damage equal to 15% of the total damage that they were dealt by the infected to them. It's a slightly useful buff to be having for infected that have higher maximum HP or want to prioritize dying in order to activate buff effects. However it can be a less useful buff on infected that don't prioritize their death for buff effects. Also the buff effect wont work with tanks.

    Benefit in Buff Sets
    On hitting any survivor, plant toxins. When you die, toxins explode dealing 15% of total damage dealt with your claws to survivors while you were alive.
    <Does not work with tanks>
    <Max Damage: 70HP>
