Incase anyone wants to know about the buffs here that i added.

|E| Ex-Infected Mourn

Description:
After getting attacked by a special infected (and forming a strong relationship of respect and love), you won't be able to receive CC effects after getting released from the same infected type for 7 seconds. (You are immune to the tactics that your ex used on you).

Positives
+ After getting attacked by any special infected, you become immune to the same type infected tactics for several seconds.
+ A useful buff for when you want to get away from annoying hunters, smokers, spitters, jockeys and chargers especially in Versus a lot.

Negatives
- You can't be immune to the tactics other infected types use on you.

Explanation:
You get attacked by a special infected! oh no! how will you make it up to them when you broke their heart? Use the Ex-Infected Mourn Buff. After you get attacked by any special infected, you become immune to the tactics for the special infected that attacked you only, for several seconds. A useful buff for when you want to get away from that annoying Hunter, Smoker, Spitter, Jockey or Charger, especially in Versus when these guys melee attack you a lot. You aren't immune to the tactics other infected types use on you though.

|E| Cupid's Arrow

Description:
Dealing damage with a heavy sniper rifle to a special infected will cause it to fall in love with you. The special infected will attack other special infected and protect you. -On Special infected: Lasts 2 minutes and will only be killable by you. -On tanks: Lasts 10 seconds and anyone can deal damage to it.
<Cooldown: 2 minutes>
<A single infected can only be affected by one arrow in its lifetime>
<Coop only>

Positives
+ After dealing damage to special infected with the AWP, you can take control of that special infected to protect you. Special Infected other than the tank can be controlled for up to an extremely large amount of time and can only be killable by you. Tanks can be controlled for a short amount of time.
+ A very useful buff for when you want any uber infected to help you out with battling any tank.
+ A nice support buff to be equipping alongside the Pet Buff since both can help you out well.

Negatives
- A single special infected can only be affected by one control effect in its lifetime

Explanations:
Ahhhhhhhhhh, Cupid's Arrow Buff, the ultimate way to make 2 people fall in love with each other. After you deal damage to any special infected using the AWP, you can take control of that special infected to protect you. Special infected other than the tank can be controlled for a very long while and can only be killed by you. Tanks can be controlled for a short window only. A useful buff to have around for when you want the assistance of any uber infected to help you in defeating a tank. A nice support buff to also equipping alongside the pet buff for when you want more help from the infected other than just the Pet Charger. Just remember that special infected can only be affected by one control effect in its lifetime.

- 25% reduced bounty cost and items no longer double in bounty price for each !buy done.
- You can no longer get vomit on your screen as well as mud and blood.
- +1/+3% additional damage per hit with most weapons/AWP&Scout&Magnum per hit on infected, reset after reloading, changing targets, changing weapon.
- Deal 1% of the targets current health on hits with melee weapons as bonus damage.
- additional 350HP on each critical hit bullet, effect is available every 3 seconds.
- 1% chance to have damage dealt ignore defense against any target.
- up to +45% additional damage from successfully killing witches yourself without taking any damage.
- 300% additional damage for 8 seconds on the revenge target that killed any other survivor.
- 50% additional damage and attacks ignore defense for 30 seconds. cooldown: 5 minutes.
- your knives cannot be used up against the smoker special infected if he/she pins you down.
- you are able to spawn/de-spawn a charger pet that has 300 HP and deals 750 HP per hit to other infected.
- you can take control of any special infected hit for 2 minutes and any tank hit for 10 seconds, effect only applies once per special infected life.
- additional health that is scaled with your current level.

Tips for effectively using this buff set
- The recommended time to activate the berserk buff is when you are able to get a lot of damage onto the tank with the avenger buff active for 8 seconds without getting interrupted. You can really push down the tank's health to force a phase to happen earlier than normal.
- If you want to use the witch hunter buff to its maximum effectiveness in each map, try to be the person with the buff that gets the witches killed yourself without taking any damage.
- Most of the offensive buffs are considered to be effective against tanks when you can use a weapon of your choice very well.
- The additional damage dealt from weapons is the most increased when you use the AWP while scoped in to fire shots at infected.
- You can spawn a pet charger to help get the damage dealt against the tank. Or you can use the effect of the cupid's arrow buff to get 1 special infected for 2 minutes to help against a currently ongoing tank, especially if it's an uber special infected, which is really helpful.
- Swap out one of the alternative buffs for the other alternative buff Finale Dominator when your currently in any finale. Each special infected killed will increase some of your basic stats by a small amount for each special infected kill done in a short allocated period of time. Useful for making yourself more effective with the other survivors.

- You can shove without any shove penalties

- While fighting tanks, you receive the infinite adrenaline run effect.
- When going into water on any map, your speed is increased rather than decreased.

Tips for effectively using this buff set
- If you want to gain more bounty in order to have bounty to buy health items, kill as many special infected as you can quickly in 1 area.
- If you are running low on health during a tank fight and don't want to suffer an unwanted death, go kill off common and special infected to help your team, you are also regenerating yourself with THP from the excitement buff and while time passes also regenerating yourself with the morphine injector buff.
- Try not to be incapacitated if you are frozen, even though you are prevented from instantly dying to the freezing tank's punch, you can still be shattered easily if the tank focuses you down long enough.
- Use the chainsaw melee weapon in maps where possible its likely your going to encounter a lot more common and special infected.
- Try to conserve your M60 ammo so you don't have to use your own bounty to buy any more M60's when you run out of free weapons.
- Run away from the tank if you want to avoid being aggro'd by it. The adrenaline run buff can help you to get away quickly from slower tanks.

- 300% increased aggro VS tanks, -25% reduced damage taken
- your knives cannot be used up against the smoker special infected if he/she pins you down.
- select 1 survivor other than yourself, that survivor receives +25% defense to every source, you regenerate 1 HP every 5 seconds and if they select you too with the same buff on them, you receive the same defense, they regenerate HP as well and you and them dont take the 1 true damage everytime you or the other survivor gets hit.

Tips for effectively using this buff set
- To effectively aggro a tank at close range, it is recommended you use shotguns for their compressed shell and piercing bullets buff. Each increasing damage output increases the chance of the tank being able to aggro you until someone deals damage to aggro the tank away from you.
- To effectively make a tank come closer to you from long range, it is recommended you use a sniper weapon that constantly hits with high accuracy or the AWP/Scout weapons to make high burst damages having a very high chance to take the aggro away from another survivor being focused down and directing it to you. A good thing to do if you want to tank the damage instead of having that other survivor tank it especially if they have no defense.
- If you need to heal because your low on HP and don't want to suffer anymore tank aggro's let someone else aggro the tank if its currently trying to focus you down and make the best usage of your healing buffs by avoiding infected damage for sometime.
- If you want to make battles against the Butcher Tank easier, use the health dispenser when you don't have enough bounty for another first aid kit or when your first aid kit is healing for only 25% of your maximum HP.
- Use the love is in the air buff to favorite someone that needs defense to tank against tanks themselves, if they have the same buff equipped as well, get them to favorite you so you can't take damage.

- use your grenade trap buff to place grenade traps in the right places on the map and you will help your teammates a lot by causing incoming special infected to be killed quickly if you know where to look for them.
- If you want to save yourself from being focused down by a chasing tank, quickly place a pipe bomb trap down and lure it into that so it freezes and you have a quick moment to get away from it.

- Need to melee your way through an area? use pills before you do so and you'll have an easier time at killing common and special infected alike with the hyperactive and ninja buffs respectively
- Need to run away from the tanks quickly, but adrenaline run buff can't make you faster than the tank? Use the immolation buff to make yourself faster so that you may perhaps be able to outrun and out maneuver the tank.

Wohaa nice guide thanks for all the work! Perhaps we can add it to the wiki if you want?

4. Well Marvel, i'll give you a story first into how the idea came into place and how it got worked on.

Making this guide myself sure took a lot of hard work and dedication to getting it done. I did have a good thought about making a guide like this back when I saw that there was nothing explained about the buffs themselves in mgftw. It was at that moment I told myself "Let's make this guide for the mgftw forums"? Making this guide up meant that i would have to take every screenshot of the survivor buffs that existed in mgftw and the buff sets that they were contained in. Once i had them all I was able to get started on filling the guide up with each buff by its positive + negative and explanations (mostly just details versions of the positives and negatives combined). I then proceeded onto filling out another section of the guide which contained the recommended buffs in buff sets, so that people would know what type of buff set they should go for depending on their preferences. When I did finish the guide though, I decided that this wasn't where i was gonna leave it when there were still event buffs to be covered at the time of getting updates out for this thing. Sure enough, i ended up covering the event buffs until I had managed to get every single event buff known to the players filled in the guide. I then updated the recommended buffs and buff sets by completely remaking it, mainly to have the buff set tactics focus on the uses itself rather than the individual buffs as I thought it was better to get the tips about them out there. So far, this is how the story of my guide existed.

I appreciate the good feedback that you have given to me. It certainly wasn't an easy thing to be making a guide and at the same time being dedicated to it for days as i wrote the information time after time.

I would gladly like to have it added to the wiki, i'm sure this will give players from old to new a good understanding of how well these buffs are mean't to work by their positives + negatives. How they should be used strategically to give them the edge against tanks.

Thanks again :)

The new buffs are listed here if you don't want to be bothered looking at my 2nd forum post to find them

Dummy Rounds

Description:
Gives your ranged weapons a 20% chance not to consume ammunition. Does not work with the Grenade Launcher

Positives
+ A small chance to have your weapons not consume ammunition.
+ A useful buff to have for when your using any shotgun with the Compressed Shell Buff or using the M60 Rifle with M60 Dumbass Buff.

Negatives
- The effects of the buff won't work with grenade launchers.

Explanation:
*POW* *POW* *POW*, *BOOM*, wait what you say? My 4th shot didn't have any fire power to it and I can shoot wiith it again? With Dummy Rounds, your weapons have a small chance to keep the bullet that was fired as a dummy round so that it can be used again for real. A useful buff to have on when your using any shotgun weapon with the Compressed Shell Buff or the M60 Rifle with the M60 Dumbass Buff, it can really save your bounty from being used up early. It is quite obvious that you won't see this buff affect the grenade launchers though since they fire projectiles, not bullet rounds.

Underbarrel Launcher

Description:
Gives any SMG, Assault Rifle or Shotgun an underbarrel launcher which can launch an explosive grenade. The projectile can be fired with the ZOOM key up to 3 times per map.
<Buffs that affect/use thee Grenade Launcher don't affect the Underbarrel Launcher>

Positives
+ Any SMG, Assault Rifle or Shotgun you have currently on you gets an underbarrel launcher that can launch explosive projectiles.
+ A useful buff for when your using explosive based buffs together in a buff set.

Negatives
- Grenade Launcher Buffs don't affect the underbarrel launcher at all.
- You can only fire the explosive projectile 3 times per map.

Explanation:
Don't you wiish that you had a grenade launcher that could fire projectiles under your weapon like the ones from Call of Duty 4 Modern Warfare? Well now you can? just equip one of these cool underbarrel launchers to any SMG, Assault Rifle or Shotgun and you will have more explosive power to deal against the infected with. A useful buff for when you got explosive based buffs together in a buff set. The more power you have to explode stuff, the better the result! Anyy Grenade Launcher Buffs you got equipped in the same buff set as the Underbarrel Launcher won't affect the weapon itself. Also you can only fire the explosive projectile from the Underbarrel Launcher 3 times per map, better make exploding cars with them in versus a wise decision to make.

Guide Updated! Version 1.2.3 (V1.6.4.0 Easter Event Update Part 1)

Additions
+ Added in the descriptions, Positives/Negatives and explanations for the Zapping Gun Buff

Changes
= No changes

Removals
= No Removals

|E| Zapping Gun

Description:
Exchanges your pistol for zapping guns giving you extra 5HP damage. Running around will charge the pistol to its maximum power making the next shot deal 1000HP damage and stun the target for 2 seconds.
<Charged shot activates on special infected and tanks only>
<Gun recharge rate: 3% per second running>

Positives
+ +5HP Increased damage towards infected.
+ When Pistol is charged, you can fire a shot that will deal 1000HP damage and stuns target for 2 seconds.

Negatives
- Pistol can only be recharged while running around. not doing that renders recharge rate to 0%

Explanation:
Need a little breathing room for when infected just can't get off your back? Use the taser against them as a Zapping Gun Buff! You will deal +5HP increased damage to infected with these weapons on, making pistols a little bit more useful. However their real usefulness comes when the pistol is fully charged, letting you fire a shot at any special infected or tank to deal 1000HP damage to them and stuns the target for 2 seconds, giving you a chance to escape if needed or to deal more damage quickly. Remember, the only way your going to take care of criminals faster is by running at them! not doing that will not make your pistol charge.

This won't be the last of the updates for this week! look forward to more of them.

Guide Updated! Version 1.2.4 (V1.6.4.1 Easter Event Update Part 2)

Additions
+ Added in the descriptions, Positives/Negatives and explanations for the Helping Drone and Ammo Dispenser Buffs

Changes
= No changes
= waiting on the changes to the Helping Drone buff. I can feel that not enough description was given.

Removals
- No removals

|E| Ammo Dispenser

Description:
Allows you to buy an infinite ammo dispenser and place it on the floor through the !buy menu.
<Dispenser cost: 20 bounty>

Positives
+ You can place an infinite ammo dispenser on the floor. dispenses ammo to all nearby survivors.
+ Can be used when you need to fight against a tier 2 or tier 3 tank in an area with no ammo pile nearby (where it requires you to backtrack a fair distance away)
+ Can be used in versus in a strategic way for when you will not want to go to the ammo pile that is some distance away to be considered dangerous to the survivors.

Negatives
- Using this buff can be considered to be useless when there is an ammo pile nearby that is reachable to not be considered dangerous in going to and back from.
- The buff costs bounty, keep that in mind use it more wisely when in versus mode as bounty isn't easily earned there.

Explanation
What if people started saying to you "I need ammo!" instead of "I need a medic!"? Well instead of giving them a health dispenser, you would give them an Ammo Dispenser as a buff. The buff will allow you to buy an infinite ammo dispenser and place it on the floor through the !buy menu. It can be used in a number of ways efficiently to make surviving easier. One of the ways it can be used when you need to fight a tier 2 or tier 3 tank in any area with no ammo pile nearby and it requires backtracking for a fair distance away. The other way is related to versus in which you can use it in a strategic area for when going to the ammo pile nearby or far away is considered to be dangerous to the survivors. You need to remember that if there is an ammo pile nearby that is safe to use without being of any danger to the survivor when going to and back from it, its useless to be using the buff then. Also, as the buff costs bounty to use in !buy, you will need to use it more wisely in versus as bounty cannot be easily earned.

|E| Helping drone

Description:
Having a drone with a camera at your disposal, you can check the next type of tank that will appear through the !buy menu.

Positives
+ You are able to check the next type of tank that appears.
+ A useful buff to help you prepare for the next tank with a good buff set against it.

Negatives
- No Negatives just yet, this buff deserves an update to include at least 2 of them.

Explanation
Did you want to find out what that troll tank roar was given no tank appearances in that chapter? well now you can. the buff will let you check the next type of tank that appears by using the camera in the !buy menu to find it out. while there are no negatives now, there will be negatives associated with this buff.

*SUGGESTION*
Add some nerfs to this buff
- A bounty cost of a minimum of 30 bounty. 1 time use per round/campaign only.

Won't be the last of the updates for now. I can see an update coming eventually to affect the Helping Drone buff.To make that and the other buffs workable and with updates if needed.

Thanks for your feedback fluffy, yep I sure did put alot of effort into making this and the other guides that i've done so far. I really appreciate it :D

The |E| Desperation Buff can be found in the infected buffs section under the general infected buffs under the tanky buffs section. Only the Charger in the Tanky Class is able to equip this buff.

|E| Desperation

Description:
Increases your claw damage by 2HP + 1HP per 10% of missing health.
<Does not apply to tanks>

Positives
+ Increased damage that increases with more missing health.
+ A slightly useful buff on higher maximum HP special infected.

Negatives
- The buff effect doesn't apply to tanks
- A less useful Offensive Buff overall thanks to better Offensive Buffs
- Increased damage dealt is decreased if your regenerating missing health.

Explanation:
The Desperation Buff will let you deal increasing amounts of damage while you happen to have missing health. It is seen as a slightly useful buff on higher maximum HP special infected. Although while the buff effect doesn't apply to tanks it is a less useful offensive buff due to there being better offensive buffs out there. Also if you are regenerating health in any way, the increased damage that you deal is decreased for less missing health.

You can take a look at this and more of the general infected buffs in another one of my guides here: https://mgftw.com/threads/usage-of-infected-buffs-and-infected-roles-guide.6564/
