RPG Gems.

I...honestly have a bad feeling about this. It could probably work but if the challenges are as hard as Honor missions the gems will only see the hands of an undeserving few. That said, i already like what you said and where this is going...Also, why not make them normal upgrades/skills/buffs and like...have gems be like a form of...idk...currency? hmm...this would turn out great if the gems dont end up being too hard to get

 

I didn't mean it like that too but good point, this system is already encumbersome on newcomers as it is i guess? still, the gem thing sounds interesting. Me being the creative little Marly i am, i could definetily cook up a concept gem system for honor to tinker with

 

Sounds like gems in Diablo 2 xD
Once taken, can be puted in slot - Attack slot, Defence slot and Speed slot.
There're some types of gems - like in Diablo 2: Fire, Acid, Yellow and some of else.
Once puted in slot cannot be taken off (olny donors can do it)
Example:​

Fire gem:
In Attack slot - +10% damage
In Defence slot - Resistance for fire
In Speed slot - +10% running speed
And for Inf:
In Attack slot - +10% damage
In Defence slot - Resistance for fire (Tank got +10% running speed when in fire +5% dmg protect [fire hurts him]
In Speed slot - +10% release dicrease (time to attack again)

And another gem:​

Ice gem:
In Attack slot - 0.1% chance to slow enemy by 50%
In Defence slot - Ice shield: 15% resistance for whole dmg, but fire deal 2 times more dmg
In Speed slot - Water don't slow you down
For infected:
In Attack slot - Ice breath - survivor which escape has 10% speed dicrease for 5 seconds
In Defence slot - Ice shield - 10% dmg resistance (but insta kill if in fire) (for tank 5% dmg resistance and 5% slower run)
In Speed slot - -5% running speed normally, but +40% when in water

I was thinking about this. And i got an idea, which will help with balance when 1 team is full of high levels - do like in League of Legends - these upgrades are not giving big adventage [sprint on 1st level +1% running speed, 2nd +2%, 3rd +4% and at 5th will be +10%)
Gems will be very rare

 

Although this sounds good, i don't think he meant it that way. He meant gems to be used as currency, not as sockets for some kind of equipment item. '-'

We allready got a buff that do water dont slow you down, maybe something like increase speed in goo like 10 - 20%
But i like the idea

Special Upgrades are not working

Hi,

I recently won some gems and wanted to buy some upgrades but when you click on 'Special Upgrades" its says you need "GEMS" as a currency to buy them. You can see all special skills and buffs but cant see special upgrades. I think it need a lil fix. Also any other way to earn the besides casino and challenge?

No Special GEM upgrades are available at the moment. Feel free to check in later or check out the SPECIAL Skills or the SPECIAL buffs section however.

I have won around 30 gems and wanted to buy something, but I am waiting to see if honorcode might add something in upgardes. Thats why I am holding on to my gems for now.
Also any chances of adding any special upgrades?

It is currently unknown whether or when HonorCode23 will produce SPECIAL skill upgrades that require the fabled GEMS as currency. If you wish, you may hold onto those gems until the first skills are published.

 

Im pretty sure skill upgrades that require gems as currency will be made if they havent already....how the fk did you get 30 gems anyway...i mean ive only played the supreme lottery about 5 times but i lost all 5 and about 4 levels and a load of points....so im waiting till ive got the upgrades/skills that require the higher levels (think the highest is 96 or something) then ill waste everything on supreme lottery lol.

 

I'm not sure, but when the suprame lottery start, i bought ~5 tickets. Lost 4 levels and won 3 gems. But i didn't lost any exp or points :p Last time i was loosing one by one and i was loosing only points =D

Actually, I take that back. I won 56 gems instead

I guess I got lucky. I was lvl 100 and now I am lvl 1

Fortunately, I was losing more Xp and lvls rather that points. Dropping from lvl 50 to 40 was really lucky for me. Before I was getting like 5 gems per 10 lvl drop but during lvl 50 to 40, I actually won 3 consecutive lotteries. 2x5gems and 1x3gems.
