My MG Custom Map

It does seem that this extraterrestrial bump is setting people into motion and getting them to look into mapping... have fun using hammer guys

I loved the dead island idea and having an actual custom map for MG, it's just too bad the game's engine isn't anywhere near as to be powerful enough to render such a map made with a tool like 3ds max.
Hope there's a way to import your project somehow or convert it into the valve package needed for l4d2.

 

Compare my map with those of Crysis. I'm getting there...

I've asked someone from a designing company if we can use his tutorials for on our website on how to make maps for other people to see how easy and hard it can be to make one. will hopefully get a responds today and put it on the website

Well, it seems I am able to export files from 3DS Max to a MDL successfully and load it dynamically via code on to the map. I've already made my own flag, arena, and new tank for PRev

The trees however are unloadable. Max crashes on first attempt to export that map xd.

 

The map will be amazing , it looks like crysis.
I know how to use 3d max but only basic , i studied in summer , my final test was do the CS mansion map , i cant belive u can do that whit 3d max .
So, when u finish , the map will be available for download?

 

The map is finished. The Source Engine just can't handle its detail, which is quite unfortunate because the CryEngine can easily handle it.

The map will probably never be up to download, because I don't plan on releasing the *.max file since I plan to use it for other purposes

 

If I remember correctley the map will be called "Get Some."
