Oh Yeah! This looks like it could be really sweet! But... Although I have no problem downloading addon campaigns I was wondering what would happen to players who don't have it when the game goes to that campaign, that is if is in the line up. Will they be prompted to DL? We need instructions to DL the new map that any idiot can understand. imagine it will be a zip file so people will need that software and know how to extract and where to place it. I must admit this is very exciting and if done right may attract players from other servers.:-)

The map itself will be hosted on L4DMaps. I've yet to see a L4D2 map as graphical as what I made--I've put my heart, soul and experience into Map MG xD A lot of custom map downloaders will download the map and come to this site since I am going to sign up as "Marvelous Gaming" and include a link to the home page. People will need to download it first, though I am figuring not many would unless they are shown a screenie first xD I hope it gets a high grade on L4D Maps as well :/

As for the site, a remapped design and a fluid width body is all on the way...

I dont necessarily think its too big but the space in between the nav bar, the header and the lower template definitely needs to b lowered....not too much...just enough to be able to see the first article maybe.

OK, I am redesigning the nav. This time it will be a bit (just a tad) futuristic to keep up with the rest of the template. It will be pure CSS and will include a "backlight" gradient. Stay tuned Also, Marvel, can you please PM me the styles.css for vB?

Update 2: For those of you that want to see what the new logo looks like, it will follow this tut and include only two letters (MG) to keep it short and simple

OK, more updates!
- Added the logo, it still needs to be aligned but OK for now
- Added mouse over effect for top navigation
- Reduced gap size of flash header
- Made Steam links workable.
- Fixed the info button on the header intro flash.

lookin good mate =) only thing im not really feeling is the logo. It has way too much colour for that web template aswel. Oh and is that Ariel you used in the nav bar? Still doesnt look right imo, needs to be more...i dunno.... "futuristic" to fit the template.

Yeah, the logo will be replaced. It never turned me on either =P

The logo I will replace later. As for the nav, yes, it's Arial. Idk of any suitable font for it anymore, so if you have one let me know

I don't think it fits, maybe something more bold, that stands out, that will be an eye catcher. The other one was good but it was ill-fitting to the theme of MG.

Tutorials are a really good way to learn but the problem is if you follow them to the tier you will never get an original looking design and they almost never come out exactly as they were intended plus u gotta remember that those backgrounds the logos are layed on are made to fit the logo, without their particualr background design the text wouldnt nearly look as good. - that being said i do kinda like the first one and the 3D text shatter effect one, just not sure if they could be implemented into the web design without looking out of place.

Do you know how to make an orb? like the small ones that are already in the web template....i think something like that but a lot more detailed obviously since it will be enlarged with the "MG" insignia embedded inside would look quite good and fit the template nicely....just an idea.

As for the nav bar font try "911 porscha", "Nasalization", "zero hour", "space age", "spaceman" which i think can all be found at either http://www.dafont.com or http://www.1001freefonts.com some of the text spaceing may need to be altered so they fit though....just experiment really =)

Yeah, I do know how to make orbs xD

None of those tuts fit my template so I'll just have to make something original. I like following tutorials because it gets the job done fast and looks great. However, I don't think anything like that would fit in this case. Well, stay tuned I guess.

As for the nav, I'm feeling a bit down after shoveling snow all day, so I'll work on it this or maybe next week.

Here are a couple of examples of what i mean....ignore all the shit around the first one but just the centre orb...something like that with MG embedded instead of DP (my initials lol) would make a pretty decent logo i think. The second one is something i made for a clan a while ago...just another example of what you could do with an orb...simple but it works pretty well

Wow I love the first one! Maybe you can make the logo then :mrgreen: If not, I'll just have to come up w/ something. But you're good at this! I'm terrible with graphics. I just program =P

which is why i said ignore everything around it but the centre orb....was just an example of what can be done with an orb design =). Since the web template is simplistic i think a clean orb with the MG insignia inside would fit well...just my opinion tho i supose....there really are SO many options.
