Hum

Hi, played today first time left4dead2 :-) and its different from the left4dead1 marvelous servers. And there are some things who make this game really to hard:

-bitch slap is to hard
-reload speed is to low
-and wheres the incandiary or ammo point ammo
-missing laserpointer

i prefer the left4dade1 marvelous modesettings, they re much more fun, but not many ppl playing it now -.-

2. Can be changed but no complaints till now.

1. Bitchslap is cool, ok ;-) but to fly to moon after hit lol. Found me today in a area i couldnt leave, lol after bitchslap.
2. Its now more a rusher mode than a fight togather through this armaggedon mode -.-.Its to hard -.-. On l4d1 they try to help each other and they come back. On l4d2 they all rush, and the "unlucky" die hum. And thats the way it was on every map :-/
3. where? with "!ammo"? dont work.
4.Typed !laser and !laseron hum, didnt work too.

Ah, ok i understand, there are much more servers ;-). i wan on the boomer acid and the others and there s no!ammo or !detonate function or? Than i searched for all marv servers but havent found all. Is there a ip server list from all the marvelous servers l4d1 and l4d2? havent found yet -.-

 

I'm not sure about the !ammo, but !laseron should work, unless someone got rid of it.

i ve an idea for cool new server mod: (really new lol,ok isnt but fun i bet)

Take the l4d2 maps and put in the old characters (k or the new 4 chars) of l4d1 and just the old weapons and zombieclasses (4). And use the mod from l4d1 EU/USA server.
That would be uber :-))

You were in the mixed mode server and probably playing rush hour where peeps are allowed to rush...otherwise they get overwhelmed.

Type !servers in chat to see a list of alternative MG servers otherwise you could always check the statistics page which also lists all the current MG servers - i myself just copied n pasted the ip's from the statistics page into favourites n bam, done lol.

Also i think !ammo was an extension just for L4D dont think we have that in L4D2, !laseron should work....always worked for me. Anyway i think you'll see a massive difference to the servers in L4D2....at least a couple of em are always full, hell last night i saw 8 servers all almost full....pretty awesome.

read else where it would not hard to do but would take a long time, then I remembered this post

What you're asking brahmburiii has been asked many times before. Infact people instantly beat the idea down.

Why would someone pay for a sequel of a game which is the same as the first? Why would someone pay $40 for GTAV when it offers the same content as GTA IV which now costs $20? If people wanted to play L4D1 they should go buy it

brahmburiii you're a L4D1 player and L4D1 is dying - not many people joining, playing etc. So why would you want L4D2 to emulate L4D1? It's going to kill L4D1 for good! Surely you don't want that to happen and nor do I.
Besides, I think Valve have recently packed textures into their VPK files, so now the method Left4Pie expressed can no longer be done. You can do it, but you'll have to painstakingly decompile the VPK, add your files, compile it again bit by bit. But Valve updates their VPK files every so often so whatever you did to the VPK will be overwritten and lost.

 

Yeah, Thats true and anyway there are loads of very good user made maps out there, some of which
are probably better than thoughts in L4D2 anyway ;p
