    Open ' regedit '

    Go to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Valve\Steam\ActiveProcess

    "SteamClientDll"="C:\\Games\\Steam\\steamclient.dll"
    "SteamClientDll64"="C:\\Games\\Steam\\steamclient64.dll"

    Your STEAM folder might be somewhere else.

    zomg totally lol

    If ANYONE is EVER going to make ANY change to their registry, especially manually and no matter how small the change, you need to EXPORT your hives and know how to IMPORT them again. Save htem someplace safe.

    And by all means, NEVER use registry cleaner programs. The only time to clean the registry (a naturally self-sustaining entity,) is if, for example, you have bad file associations from previously installed programs.
