DDoS attacks Hong Kong

Unfortunately, our Hong Kong server is under constant DDoS attack, almost 24/7. These are high-bandwidth attacks and there's not much we can do about it. DDoS protection is very expensive in the South-East Asia region while the attack bandwidth is usually higher than the protection anyway.

We felt the need to inform you because some players expressed concerns that there might be something wrong with their connection because they expirience lag and/or high pings on our HK server caused by the attacks.

Feel free to sit out an attack or join our EU and US servers whenever an attack is on-going. Although you may or may not experience a few lag spikes now and then both these locations are well enough protected.

Further more I want to tell you that our host provider in Hong Kong is ok with these attacks and that we have no intention to cancel this server even if the attacks go on for the next 6 months, this server is here to stay and that's a promise we'll keep.
