New update is released, but it's same mess as with any other update before. Hive down, lot of bugs, slow loading etc. so we'll keep our server down until things are fixed.
I use universal hacked patch, so luckily, i can join any servers regardless their patch version. I did read somewhere in their forums that the ETA is about 2-5 hours.. not sure if it's a rumor. I'm currently playing at another server until things are fixed. (It uses 1.7.0 and build 94364)
You also have a hacked map? Currently still issues with the hive. No one can connect, we need to be patient.
No, i don't use any hacks or hacked content, other than version editing, because i wish to get outdated servers as well, in cases like this. And because the server decides how each entity works, i will not gain unfair advantage even if i got different values due older client. You should get rid of that map hack as soon as possible.. In L4D2 the same can be done legally from "steam.inf" in left4dead2 folder by changing "PatchVersion=" from "2.1.0.5" to "2.1.0.0" for example, if the server is outdated.. that way u can connect outdated or updated clients without actual patching. Though if major content is missing, you will eventually get errors but you would be still able to play.
