access to forum website problem and registration problem

    it actually my friend problem and im helping her to post here to ask..

    so she can't get into forum website sometimes and there's a message like this:

    "mgftw.com is protected by Blocked.com.

    Blocked is security software which protects websites and empowers webmasters to stop unwanted traffic.

    Your request was blocked because you appear to be accessing this website from a blacklisted IP address."

    so, when she can open the website she encounter another problem by can't register into mg forum, another message shows:

    "Registration denied, this forum runs an active policy of not allowing spammers. Please contact us via the "Contact Us" page link if you believe this is in error"

    anyone can help with this problem? thanks :)

    They need to disconnect from IP-hiding or masking software like a VPN. Blockscript naturally refuses those connections. If they're already flagged as a spambot or toxic IP address, that could be another thing.

    I think it's the former.

    Check this website:

    http://www.stopforumspam.com/

    And search for her IP address. She probably has an IP that was used to spam forums in the past. If you want you can PM the IP to me or Erik and we'll whitelist it.

    ok, i checked her IP with :
    http://www.whatismyip.com/
    and proxy detected, is that can be the source of the problem too?

    because i checked her IP in
    http://www.stopforumspam.com/
    and didnt found her IP there :)

    or maybe i can PM the name of the person then you can check from the database?? :)

    sorry i'm not an expert at this things, hehe~ thx again :)

    That would be the problem I believe. Though I'll leave it up to the other guys to tell you how to fix it as I'm not all that. :P

    That's probably it, you should remove the proxy server and use direct connection.
