    Explanation of this guide
This guide is intended for players who want to have good knowledge on the many status effects out there in mgftw and how it can either benefit or be problematic to your overall power. For low level players, this guide is perfect to ensuring that you know about the effects of the deadly poison bad status effect. For other players, this may be from a quick refresher to something that should be remembered when fighting any tank in any situation.

    Types of Status Effects
The types of status effects that can be encountered in mgftw come in the range of good and bad status effects.

    Good Status Effects
Good Status Effects are effects which have benefits to helping you defeat the infected or to have increased survival in battle. The good status effects come in the form of white toasters which can give you a random good status effect for a set duration. The bonuses given in each good status effect are small and enough to give you the chance to turn the tide of any infected battle into the survivors favor.

    Bad Status Effects
Bad Status Effects are effects which have consequences on your chances of survival or to give the infected more advantage over you before their death. The bad status effects come in the form of infected buffs or abilities which can cause specific effects for their set duration depending on what that bad status effect is. The more powerful these bad status effects are, usually the less time they will last in duration.

These Good and Bad Status Effects are ones given to you in PR. This doesn't cover any buffs or bad status effects which give an upgraded effect.

NOTE: The Bad Status Effects themselves have varying duration in some of them.

Good Status Effects + Tips on using them to your advantage

    Damage Increase
Your damage is boosted by 25% for 60 seconds!
The Damage Increase Good Status Effect lets your weapons deal 25% more damage to infected for 60 seconds. It is added on as +25% in offensive buff % as a calculation and can be stacked with the following buffs: Extra Powder, Piercing Bullets, Focused, Tank Party Crusher, Witch Hunter, Avenger and Berserk.

    Tips:
    * You can use the Damage Increase to quickly kill off any special infected that are alive to stop them from doing any more damage your teammates and to net yourself more bounty overtime much quicker.
    * If you need more aggro power against a particular tank to help you tank the damage when you have offensive buffs + defensive buffs, make sure to use your time to allow teammates to get free damage into the tank while you hold off against its incoming damage. It can be a big help to turn the battle around.

    Defense Increase
Your defense is increased by 10% for 60 seconds.
The Defense Increase Good Status Effect lets you take 10% reduced damage from any special infected and tanks of any tank type for 60 seconds. It is added on as +25% in defensive buff % as a calculation and can be stacked with the following buffs: Acid Protection, Hope on Sight, Group Morale, General Tank Handler, Tank duelist and Love is in the air

    Tips:
    * You can use the Defense Increase to go help tank damage that you receive from any special infected or any tank of any tank type for when there is trouble still brewing around.

    Moustachio Bless
Moustachio Bless! You are damage immune for 8 seconds!
The Moustachio Bless Good Status Effect makes you invulnerable to all damage types except for fall damage for 8 seconds. It can be stacked with the following buffs: Guardian Moustachio, and the Moustachio Bless skill.

    Tips:
    * You can use the Moustachio Bless to help save yourself from death if you find your about to die from a powerful tank ability and or an unavoidable special infected attack you have little chances of escaping from.

    Immolation
Infected near you will ignite! The effect lasts for 20 seconds.
The Immolation Good Status Effect makes any infected nearby your current position ignite. You can continue to ignite nearby infected for 20 seconds. It can be stacked with the following buffs: Immolation.

    Tips:
    * You can activate the Immolation Buff effect after the Immolation Good Status Effect wears off to give you the same effect, but more movement speed to get away in exchange for taking 1 HP/s every 0.3 seconds. Useful for getting away from chasing infected especially when your near the ending saferoom.

    Health Regeneration
You will regenerate 5 HP every second for 60 seconds.
The Health Regeneration Good Status Effect lets you restore health overtime with 5 HP/s for 60 seconds. It can be stacked with the following buffs: Saferoom Infirmary, Morphine Injector, Fentanyl Injector, Advanced Morphine Injector, Health Dispenser, Caretaker and Love is in the air.

    Tips:
    * You can use the Health Regeneration Good Status Effect along with other regeneration buffs currently active to help you regenerate lost health if you have limited ways to heal yourself or want to quickly get some health back.

    Bad Status Effect Immunity
The next status condition to affect you will be blocked!
The Bad Status Effect Immunity ensures that any bad status effect, no matter if its poison, paralyze, mutation, curse, intense bleeding. It will get blocked whenever said bad status effect is about to be inflicted onto survivors. It cannot be stacked with any buff.

    Tips:
    * You can use the Bad Status Effect Immunity to save yourself from a devastating attack afterwards if you were caught off guard by the tank in the wrong situation at the wrong time.
    * If you don't want to be afflicted with a bad status effect that could otherwise lead up to your death, it can save you and allow you to survive if it were to lead to an even more bad situation afterwards.

    Attack Speed Increase
The Fire Rate and Melee Swing Speed is increased by 5% for 60 seconds!
The Attack Speed Increase Good Status Effect increases your fire rate with your rifles and the melee swing speed with your melee weapons by 5% for 60 seconds. It can be stacked with the following buffs: Ninja and Hyperactive.

    Tips:
    * You can take pills to activate the effect of the Hyperactive Buff alongside the Attack Speed Increase Good Status Effect to quickly kill off a witch before it can damage anyone.
    * If you need to hurry to the saferoom before a bad situation happens, you can take pills to activate the effects of the Hyperactive Buff alongside the Attack Speed Increase Good Status Effect to quickly kill off common infected that try to stop you getting there.

    Deadly Shove Effect
The next Special Infected you shove will be instantly killed!
The Deadly Shove Effect Good Status Effect lets your next shove on any special infected instantly kill them, even if it is an uber infected. It has first preference before any of the Deadly Shove Buff counts if any still remain.

    Tips:
    * If you see any uber infected trying to kill off nearby survivors, go to them and then shove as soon as you reach the special infected so they cannot deal any more damage. Much faster than trying to kill it with bullets.

    Max Ammo Regeneration
You gain 1/40th of your max ammo every second for 20 seconds!
The Max Ammo Regeneration Good Status Effect lets you regenerate 1/40th of your maximum ammo of your currently held weapon for each second that passes for 20 seconds. It can be stacked with the following buffs: Bullet Scavenger.

    Tips:
    * If you don't have any nearby ammo piles to go to and are running low on ammo, make sure to have the bullet scavenger buff active when you get the Max Ammo Regeneration Good Status Effect so you can regenerate max ammo faster.

    Movement Speed Increase
Your Team's Movement Speed has been increased by 10% for 30 seconds.
The Movement Speed Increase Good Status Effect lets you and all other currently surviving teammates be able to move faster than normal. It can be stacked with the following buffs: Speedy Water, Adrenaline Run, Immolation

    Tips:
    * If you want to quickly get from one area to another where other survivors need help, you can use the Movement Speed Increase Good Status Effect along with a tank currently in play causing the Adrenaline Run Buff effect and with the Immolation Buff effect active to get there faster without being slowed down. Works well in campaigns with water areas.

Bad Status Effects + Tips on avoiding them in any situation

    Poison
Gradually Decreases your current health by 3 - 15 HP/s depending on how fast your moving.
The Poison Bad Status Effect causes your screen to flash green and be dealt 3 - 15 HP/s for every second that you still have the condition. It can be inflicted by the following buffs and tanks: Poison Buff, Poison Tank and Supreme Shaman Tank. The Poison Bad Status Effect can also be inflicted by the poison witch.

    Tips:
    * When fighting the Poison and Supreme Shaman Tanks be sure to not get too close to them so that they cannot poison you in range with their passive/active abilities.
    * If you get poisoned and don't want to die from the effects, be sure to have pills on you when you get poisoned so you can immediately cure it.

    Paralyze
Decreases your Movement Speed by 65% for a period then slowly increases it back up to normal, you are also unable to jump for 30 seconds.
The Paralyze Bad Status Effect severely reduces your movement speed by 65% for a period and then slowly increases it back up to normal movement speed. You are also unable to jump for 30 seconds. It can be inflicted by the following buffs: Paralyze and Bad Descent Buffs.

    Tips:
    * When you get inflicted with the paralyze effect, be sure to let the survivors know to come help you out of the bad situation. It can ensure that you have a good fighting chance of survival with back up to help out.

    Internal Bleeding
Reduces your bonus defense % against infected attacks by 5% for 60 seconds.
The Internal Bleeding Bad Status Effect reduces your bonus defense % against infected attacks by 5% for 60 seconds. It can be inflicted by the following special infected: all except tank.

    Tips:
    * When you get inflicted with Internal Bleeding, be careful when going around places as you will take significantly more damage overtime without assistance to help you fend off against incoming infected.

    Sticky
Reduces your movement speed by 25%, fire rate by 40% and melee attack speed by 50% for 6 seconds.
The Sticky Bad Status Effect reduces your movement speed by 25%, decreases your fire rate with all weapons by 50% and slows down your melee attack speed by 10%* for 6 seconds. It can be inflicted by the following buffs: Sticky Blood

    Tips:
    * Before you go around trying to kill any nearby special infected, don't do so as your attacks are more likely to miss with reduced fire rate and they will have a higher advantage at dealing damage against you before you can get the upper hand against them.

    Blind
Covers your screen in black for 5 seconds, you can still see the HUD and survivor outlines however.
The Blind Bad Status Effect makes your survivor unable to see anything, in reality though it covers your screen in black for 5 seconds. However you are still able to see the HUD and survivor outlines. It can be inflicted by the following tanks: Void and Supreme Shaman Tank.

    Tips:
    * If you are Blind, don't try to run off from your current position as you may end up finding yourself lost!
    * To avoid being blinded by the void tank, setup a health dispenser so that you can continuously be cured of the status while you can see the tank and continue to shoot at it. Makes it easier to deal damage to the tank before you can become blind again, making it difficult if you are inflicted.

    Stunned
Prevents you from doing any action whatsoever, including using the !buy menu for 3 seconds.
The Stunned Bad Status Effect makes you unable to do any actions whatsoever, including using the !buy menu for 3 seconds. It can be inflicted by the following buffs and tanks: Stun Buff and Electric Tank.

    Tips:
    * To avoid being Stunned by the electric tank, don't be within range of its punch and or its abilities so that you can continue to avoid being inflicted while you are shooting at it.

    Confused
Makes you unable to see any survivors or their outlines for 7 seconds.
The Confused Bad Status Effect allows you to be unable to see any survivors or their outlines for 7 seconds. It can be inflicted by the following tanks: Splitter, Supreme Shaman, Executioner Tank.

    Tips:
    * To avoid being Confused by any of the tanks that can inflict it, don't be within range of their punches as they can only inflict it through them.
    * If you get inflicted with the Confused Bad Status Effect, don't go around like an idiot not knowing where you are, you will get lost that way or run into a bad situation.

    SICKNESS
Reduces your current HP by 0.1% of your maximum HP for every 5 seconds per stack gained. If there is no permanent health, maximum HP is reduced instead for the entire round.
The Sickness Bad Status Effect causes you to get sick overtime by reducing your current HP by 0.1% of your maximum HP every 5 seconds for every stack gained. If there is no permanent health, maximum HP is reduced instead for the entire round. It can be inflicted by the following tanks: Pestilent Tank.

    Tips:
    * To avoid being inflicted with the SICKNESS Bad Status Effect by the pestilent tank, don't aggro it and keep away from it while you shoot at it.

    Corrosion
Your body parts slowly begin to decay, suffering a loss on your basic statistics.
The Corrosion Bad Status Effect will cause your body parts to slowly begin decaying, this will cause a loss on your basic statistics.
-1HP of max HP lost for the round (Min HP: 20)
-4HP of max incap HP lost for the round (Min: 100 HP)
-0.01 speed lost for the round (Min: 0.95)
-0.03 melee swing speed is lost for the round (Endless)
It can be inflicted by the following buffs and tanks: Corrosive Gas, Corrosion and Corrosive Tank

    Tips:
    * To avoid being inflicted with the Corrosion Bad Status Effect by the Corrosive Tank, don't go anywhere near the tank or its acid and continue to keep moving, being careful that you are not close to other survivors due to the tank's ability Acid Hell.

    Mutation
You will temporarily forget how to fight against infected.
The Mutation Bad Status Effect will flash red on your screen, make infected sounds and give you a repetitive glowing white outline while making you temporarily forget how to fight against infected for a short amount of time. It can be inflicted by the following tanks: Shaman, Supreme Shaman Tank.

    Tips:
    * To avoid being mutated, stay away from the Shaman or Supreme Shaman Tank if you know they haven't activated it yet.
    * If you are mutated, avoid getting involved in any infected fights until the mutation wears off as getting involved will end up in you getting killed quickly if on low HP.

    Curse
Decreases your movement speed by 50% and causes you to take 1000% additional damage from all sources for 8 seconds.
The Curse Bad Status Effect will turn your screen purple, reduce your movement speed by 50% and cause you to take 1000% additional damage from all sources for 8 seconds. It can be inflicted by the following tanks: Bloody, Supreme Shaman Tank.

    Tips:
    * Avoid being cursed, as being hit by the curse explosion attack will inflict double the damage onto you than without being afflicted with the Curse Bad Status Effect.
    * If you are cursed, avoid getting into any infected fights as doing so will get you seriously damaged.

    Intense Bleeding
You will receive 50% less healing from all sources and cannot get up if incapacitated for 10 seconds.
The Intense Bleeding Bad Status Effect will make you receive 50% less healing from all sources and makes you unable to be revived if your incapacitated for 10 seconds. It can be inflicted by the following tanks: Hunter, Supreme Shaman Tank.

    Tips:
    * If you want to avoid having less healing from all sources, make sure to not get hit by hunter tank if your on low HP.
    * If affected by the Intense Bleeding Bad Status Effect, try not to get healed until the effect wears off as you receive less healing, making it more of a waste to use health items while affected.

    Dazed
You will be unable to see any infected for 7 seconds.
The Dazed Bad Status Effect makes you unable to see any infected, regardless of their distance from you for 7 seconds. It can be inflicted by the following tanks: Splitter Tank

    Tips:
    * If you want to be able to target and shoot at incoming infected attacking you or your teammates, make sure not to get too close to splitter tank so that you won't get hit if he isn't aggroing you.

    Heart Splitter
Your Maximum Health has been halved for 25 seconds.
The Heart Splitter Bad Status Effect reduces your maximum HP temporarily by half for 25 seconds. It can be inflicted by the following tanks: Splitter Tank

    Tips:
    * If you want to have an easier time when affected by Heart Splitter Bad Status Effect, either only aggro one of the splitter tanks or avoid getting damaged by the infected at all to increase your chances of surviving during the time remaining of the bad status effect.
    * If you want to not have reduced maximum HP, try not to be close to the splitter tanks when your fighting them.

    Frozen
You have been frozen for 10 seconds.
The Frozen Bad Status Effect makes you unable to move your body when your body temperature gets too cold and is encased in ice. It causes you to be able to be instantly killed by any hit from any tank that hits you, unless you have over 1000 HP for 10 seconds. It can be inflicted by the following tanks: Freezing Tank

    Tips:
    * If you want to avoid being frozen by the freezing tank, don't go into the nitrogen gas and repetitive beacon coming out from it so your movement speed doesn't get reduced so much.
    * If your frozen, try to get other survivors to get in the tank's way so that they take the hits instead of you. saving you from death.

    In Love
You are in love with the tank! The effect lasts 30 seconds.
The In Love Bad Status Effect makes you when in love with the cupid tank unable to damage the tank, take 50 additional damage from it and items from the !buy menu costing the double the amount of normal required bounty for 30 seconds. It can be inflicted by the following tanks: Cupid Tank

    Tips:
    * If you know that the Cupid Tank hasn't activated his ability that inflicts the bad status effect, make sure to stay away from him to ensure that your still able to deal damage to him and able to use !buy as normal when he has used it.

    Death Sentence
    Death Sentence: - / 15
The Death Sentence Bad Status Effect does nothing when it goes up a number of stacks. But when it does reach the maximum amount of stacks it grants the Executioner Tank the ability to deliver a powerful execution punch that is a guaranteed kill no matter what. It can be inflicted by the following tanks: Executioner Tank

    Tips:
    * if you don't want to be killed when the number of stacks of the Death Sentence effect would reach 15 on you. Avoid aggroing the tank all the time, to keep your number low and to save yourself from a possible instant death attack if it happens.
